I don't think I like the way they limit you into buying a car at the beginning. Not sure if I like that tutorial a la GTAcademy too. I was hoping for something more "Classic Gran Turismo" for career mode. We still haven't tried it, but I have a feeling it might be a bit limited. But who knows.

I know how much I say I hate NFS Shift (and I do), but this seems very similar. Not that there was anything wrong with Shift's career mode (probably one of the few things salvageable from that mess), but it simply doesn't fit Gran Turismo.

Until we get our hands on it, we'll have to be cautious on our assumptions. The only thing that worries me is the length of career mode and the prize system.

It seems as though there will be plenty of cars to choose from when starting the game thought, so that is a positive aspect. Maybe there will be a chance to bypass buying a first car, and going straight into the license test...I always used the license tests to get my first cars. Hopefully they haven't de-emphasized the license tests even further...

Worth noting- on a news app called "Flipboard" (it came with my Galaxy S4), GT6 talked about like crazy under the "gaming" and "Autos" section. MUCH more then Forza. I've yet to see a TV commercial in the U.S. Though.

I hope there are more prize cars that can only be acquired by winning certain races, much like GT3. Actually, exactly like GT3. Even the cars that can be bought should come with paints that can only be gotten if you win a certain race. For example, I won a NSX type S Zero, which I already bought, but it came with a beautiful Boulder Opal Blue color which wasn't a store color. Plus, cars that can only be won and not purchased adds to your sense of accomplishment. I was so beyond excited when I finally could drive the Raybrig NSX and Camaro LM in GT3 xD

looks like we start with about $30,000

Another letdown of GT5 how they made the license tests irrelevant...
Really hope we will get some info about the proper career mode structure soon, this will make or break the game for me.

When have US dollars ever been in a GT game?

Mine have always been "credits".

As for starting with 30k in USD, I think this is a bit high...Oh well. I like having to grind up from the very bottom. Start me off with a $500 junker and make me work from there. Hahahaha

I know it's not really US dollars, I'm just using it to have something to compare it too. Since the japan game currency is roughly based on the Japanese yen, I'm assuming the US version will use something similar to the US dollar.

Every country gets the same currency base minus Japan.

Never, but I think the poster here is looking at the equivalency of the high amounts in the Japanese version of the game which reflect Yen amounts, and the lower credit values in the US version of the game. It makes some sense.

Don't like the tutorial, same for driving licenses. Back in the days it was maybe original, but after doing them in 5 GT games already I feel treated like a complete retard doing them for the 6th time. Every time the same story; Try to get the car to a complete stop in the marked area (I never do this when doing a race), Try to brake before steering into the corner (really?), Next test you have to do 2 consecutive corners , etc.

The games aren't necessarily designed for those familiar with the series. Like many games today, it's better to make it friendly to those that are new.

As far as I know, all GT games have originally had the value of credits roughly equivalent to yen and then they took off two zeros in most international versions to make prices/prizes more similar to CAD/AUD/USD/CHF/EUR. In-game prices have always been a hodge podge of numbers that sometimes resemble US market prices, sometimes Japanese market prices, sometimes Eurozone prices and sometimes something completely different, but as far as I'm aware, the value (plus or minus two zeroes of course) has always been the same across all game markets.

Can someone tell me wich are the diferences between the 2 versions of the game (normal and 15An) appart of pre-order offers? Thank you

I don't think so, there's sign in front of it the same as the other cars except the Fit.
Yeah, your right, that is a shot of the Honda dealership... Not all the available starter cars... If its like that I'll be in the dealers for hours before choosing a car! :P

On the topic of conversion rates, I wonder if the US version will still show weight in Kgs or if we get lbs... I know metric OK but its still confusing when deducting weight... :P

i really need to know if the tire smokes creates jaggies like it did in GT5, did Famitsu say anything about that ? those jaggies kinda ruin the experiences for me, or is it already covered a long time ago that theres no jaggies anymore ? i havent been following the news so much lately until 2 weeks ago so kinda missed a lot.

I think one of Jordans videos in the news showed the new smoke pretty well. So go check out every news article from the last month. :P

My Vid from the GTA build shows it pretty well

I don't know if there is metallic inks used on the US Ann. Ed. packaging or not. But I do know we aren't getting the steelbook case, which is a real downer. I don't see metallic ink in the packaging images, but I notice alot of that in US special editions the last year or so, so I wouldn't doubt it. They've been using it in the US lately in the place of Steelbook cases that gamers in the EU get so often and we get far less. I really like steelbook cases too, and with GT6 in particular I'm quite frankly pretty pissed off about not getting the steelbook. I want that steelbook more than anything else being offered between the preorder incentives and bouses.

Hopefully I can find one for sale on Amazon or something.
