How is,

"people that got the 1 million credits deal from shooting off to buy a super car off the bat, and then terrorizing the online lobbies"

any different from...

"people that play for 16/24 or 32/48 hours just to get a super car early and then terrorizing online lobbies"?

No different, but at least they worked for it.

;)

Something really worried me about an embargo until game release day. This often times indicates a less than spectacular game. (Most publishers and developers want good reviews before release as to guarantee more sales. No reviews until sale day sometimes indicates the publishers/debs being unhappy or expecting negative reviews)

I've seen it happen many times and it almost always ends up bad. I truly hope this game is good, otherwise I'm out of racing games to play! :P

And so those that start the game with 25 cars run over with blue tire treads?

:)

I imagine you could blow your 1 million credits as soon as you've purchased your first "recommended car". At least, with no hint of the horrible Level system in place, I hope so.

The only difference I can think of is that those people now don't have to spend that time to get the cars and can instantly obtain them.

Before GT5.2 and the OCD, I spent three nights cycling the UCD by loading the license tests to find a Formula Gran Turismo.

Might miss the "obscurity" that the system created. Earlier this year I remember doing the same thing searching for the '04 BMW M3. Not sure how I'll feel about the instant gratification.
The UCD certainly added to the longevity and replayabililty of the game.

You sure spell "frustration" and "tedium" funny ;)

Used dealerships worked in GT's past; in GT5 it was implemented so poorly that it ruined what was once my favourite aspect of the series. Especially before the OCD was added in, since users had to wait to find a truck for a required series (or even longer for the much rarer FGT).

The PP limit is 350. Looks like you have to buy a car that's 350 or less stock, you won't be allowed to buy something higher and just detune the engine to get it into the race (which sucks btw). So if you go to any dealership, every car under 350 will not be greyed out. This is where it got confusing before when someone said you "had to buy the Fit RS" to start the game. If you only entered the Honda dealership you'd think that but I'm sure any car under 350PP that you can afford of course, will be fair game.

why so many cars unavailable in the screenshot? That's worrying me. Did I miss something from the article?
That's teh screen you pick your very first car of the game. I'm thinking you're either limited to anything under 350PP or anything under 350PP and PREMIUM.

Agreed. It would've been better if PD splitted the UCD into separate UCD showrooms like the older GTs, especially since GT5 has so many cars.

Makes sense. Gives us room to upgrade the car for the next events. The Novice Licence pics show cars up to 430pp. Might be some hefty AI competition with higher hp as in GT5.

There's quite a lot of gran Turismo fans that don't care about what the game scores. To be honest, I don't think there'll be much of a decrease in sales if the reviews are bad.

If that's an indication of how good the AI is, that they are competition only with 80 more PP and double the horsepower...this is going to be the worst AI ever:lol:

I think the same.:indiff: but GTA V had review embargo until its release date too! :D

Yeah, Forza Motorsport 5 also had an embargo till release and a few people were worried about it and yet it's got astoundingly positive reviews, which I really don't expect GT6 to match at all, but it doesn't mean GT6 is going to just be a shocking failure, all they needed to do is address some core issues from GT5, this ain't GT7.

I'd say more than likely the reason why the reviewers are getting them that late is because of the day one patch, and that they don't want them reviewing the game without that on it, as might be the case if they gave them the game now.

Hold on, I'm confused a little.
In both of the previews we've seen (where first cars were MiTo and FIT RS), it was also said that it had to be <350 PP, correct?
On GT6's website, the first Sunday Cup race, it says that the PP Limit is 430...so what does that mean?

Guess in the website PD hasn't changed that yet or I don't know.

Forza 5 actually turned out to be a pretty bad game despite what people reviewed it as...

No, they're going to release the reviews on release day. They would have already downloaded the patch to play the game

No reviewer understands that Gran Turismo isn't just a game, unless they really are a car person. :/

It may be a bad motorsports title due to lack of content and racing format features, but it's by no means a bad game at all.

Not really...

They're by no means bad, but astoundingly positive? Nah!

Adam Sessler gave it 5 out 5, and he usually stays away from racing games, and he's not the type to go around giving games perfect scores all over the place. Bunched in together with a bunch of other perfect and near perfect scores, that says "astounding" to me. I'm not trying to write that into FM' s Wikipedia page though.

So by using plural, you actually only or nearly or at least mainly base it on a singular?

Awesome

Anyway, metacritic says no.

Oops, sorry, the autotype on my phone threw in an extra "one" somehow - fixed.

Oh and Metacritic doesn't give out subjective one word impressions based on its favorite reviewers, so I'm not sure what you're going for there.

Averages instead of selection.

Said core issues haven't been properly addressed in over 10 years. It would be a pleasant surprise if they were 'fixed' for GT6.

One major thing(For Offline users)we'll find out next week is, cars available in Arcade Mode Car List. In GT5, LMP cars, LM, DTM and DLC cars were not in the Arcade Mode car list. We only had NASCAR, GT500 and WRC.

I don't understand why you're not allowed to use every single car available in arcade mode. There's really no technical limitation.

For a while and in a lot of GTP "vs" discussions GT5 has been considered a failure based on their metacritic score and that scoring better than FM5!

User scores agree, not even the highly critized unpatched launch date GT5 came close to that red %.

Sincerely I expect better than that in GT6.
