At the top of the page, it says the 6 is on the right to indicate that the car is new to a Gran Turismo game for the first time.

This is a mistake. Only the first 12x cars or so are new.
PD messed p when they added the 10 or so new cars today.

It is a hypothetical.

The reality is, they won't be. What you are essentially saying, is that in the scant few weeks between the retail disk coming out and the day 1 patch, PD have managed to model more premium cars than it took them to do in 3 YEARS of development of GT6.

This just isn't a logical assertion.

If PD counts slightly retouching old models as them being "new to the series", then the marketing department would probably be sprinting with the "1200 cars added to the game" copy, methinks.

Amazing news hearing that this cars is possibly coming. The fact that PD had unfettered access to a model that has yet to make production, Just goes to show how much influence Kaz has. This is truly remarkable to see. The ///M4 Coupe albeit a brand new model, isn't something that is unattainable for most people. Its a dream car that we can actually grasp.

What if that's not going to happen and you're just setting yourself up for extreme disappointment when not a single one has been retouched anymore than it is on the disc? I know you're thinking positively but this is what causes uproars around here. People expect so much from the littlest thing and become extremely upset when their massive wishes do not come true. It's a patch people, to iron things out and maybe add some last minute features. It's not a complete overhaul. If you keep leveraging expectation on this "day 1 patch" and it magically improving the game tenfold, I honestly believe you will be greatly disappointed. Anything that would have such a large impact on the game is already on the disc.

I expect the day 1 patch only to feature everything we learned today -- new intro movie, X2014 models, NSX concept, etc. as well as any other smaller features that weren't ready for the disc. Course maker will probably come in January or later.

Okay so I've had GT6 preorded for a while now and did so at GameStop because of the extras it came with. My question is is if the 15th anniversary edition upgrade actually come with a different cover art? I asked the guy when I preordered the game and he had no idea what I was talking about.

It's nice that you ask this here because I was wondering about the same thing. A few weeks back, I thought "15th Anniversary Edition Upgrade" was just a Gamestop thing where they give you a copy of GT6 and throw in a separate DLC voucher card. But when I went to preorder at Gamestop, the system had 2 different SKUs coded "RE" and "LE". I'm almost certain this means the 15th Anniversary Edition is an entirely different package, which implies a different box cover. If 15thAE Upgrade really was just a copy of GT6 with a voucher, there wouldn't be a whole SKU created for it.
