With PSN updating tomorrow, will the day 1 patch come with it? If so, will our early access buddies get the use of Online capabilities+the cars, etc?

About the deltawings, I'm actually shocked that PD was able to get the car back in GT and 2 of them. I can't wait to see the new intro and what comes out of the day 1 patch.
I agree with you considering the current legal situation. :scared::eek:

It's nice that you ask this here because I was wondering about the same thing. A few weeks back, I thought "15th Anniversary Edition Upgrade" was just a Gamestop thing where they give you a copy of GT6 and throw in a separate DLC voucher card. But when I went to preorder at Gamestop, the system had 2 different SKUs coded "RE" and "LE". I'm almost certain this means the 15th Anniversary Edition is an entirely different package, which implies a different box cover. If 15thAE Upgrade really was just a copy of GT6 with a voucher, there wouldn't be a whole SKU created for it.

I've been having a little anxiety ever since my wife cancelled my amazon pre-order and switched me to gamestop last week. Our store only had one sku which was standard edition. BUT 3 different gamestop managers from 3 different stores(I called another today) have assured me that anyone who pre-ordered OR gets the first shipment gets the bonus cars. I don't care about the box or packaging..i just want the cars I was promised. For the record I live In the southern U.S.

The silver Delta Wing is coming not the Le-Mans Delta Wing.

So does anyone expect the GT Vision cars to be drivable? I'm looking at the artwork and most of the cars look slammed with ridiculous wheels on them. They look great. But those low profile tires are not going to corner well on a track. Thoughts?

IIRC, there have been day one patches lately for games released on Friday. The newest Batman title had one, I'm fairly positive.
Patches aren't released with play station store updates. they are two completely different servers.

If you can drive the Merc concept car (that had absolutely no room for suspension travel), I'd expect you can drive anything.

Gran Turismo Drive was unveiled this morning at an on-site ceremony, celebrating the upcoming release of Gran Turismo 6 – the first in the series to feature the famous Mount Panorama track.

Racing veteran and gaming fan Shane Jacobson officially opened the newly-christened street together with Bathurst mayor Gary Rush.

Gran Turismo 6 is alos being added to Bathurst’s National Motor Racing Museum, allowing visitors to try a virtual recreation of the local circuit.

“We are extremely proud to be acknowledged by the City of Bathurst for the years of dedication we have invested in recreating Mount Panorama in Gran Turismo 6,” series creator Kazunori Yamauchi said.

“Since its inception 15 years ago, Gran Turismo has listened to fan feedback and added extra features so that we now offer 1,200 cars and 33 circuits from all across the world. It seems only right that the legendary Mount Panorama circuit is included as fans will now have a chance to drive one of the toughest tracks out there. With Mount Panorama immortalised in the Gran Turismo series, it is now truly remarkable to see GT immortalised on The Mount itself.”

“Driving a lap of our world famous motor racing circuit is a life changing experience for those who have the chance, and Bathurst Regional Council is very excited about opening up the Mount Panorama experience through the launch of Gran Turismo 6 this week,” Rush said.

“As custodians of a unique collection of the motor racing history of Mount Panorama at the National Motor Racing Museum, this partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment Australia is a great example of the how our Council is always looking for new and innovative ways to interpret the Mount Panorama experience to the world.

“Mount Panorama is a very special part of the history of Bathurst which will celebrate 200 years as a European settlement in 2015 and this event opens up the opportunity for a new worldwide audience of fans to experience this special place – especially as we believe we are the first council in Australia to name a road after a videogame franchise.”

Considering how mental looking Lambo road cars are, I'd like to see how mental they can make a virtual car.

Might be the return of Countach or Miura in futuristic design :) I would love to drive a future version of a Countach.

Gran Turismo Dr at Bathurst ... GT is a legend now :)

Called mine today and they said the same thing, so must be legit.

Of course, when any other game has a similar marketing-driven tie-in in real life, it's assumed it was paid for. I'm not sure why this is different.

They'll be fine on a track. Race cars are that low with low profile tyres and the like, and the vast majority of race tracks are really very smooth.

I wouldn't want to drive them on the road though. At best it'd be really uncomfortable, and you'd probably rip something off the bottom of your car before you'd gone a mile.

Just missing current V8SC. I mean, we have a few road cars that have run on the Mountain as race cars (Mini '98, GT350 Mustang, Shelby GT50['10?], R35GT-R, R32 GT-2 Gr. A, EVO X, Elise, '69 Camaro, Monaro, SS Commodore, Swift). Some new cars(RCZ, SLS GT3, 458, Gallardo, Aston Martin) in this years Bathurst 12H but, we need V8AC to seal the deal! :sly:

Yes, yes

reviewers are about to receive their promo copy of GT6 and PD certainly wants them to play the updated version.

I wonder how much money involved for that Gran Turismo Dr at Bathurst, did PD payed or the other way around ? or it was just mutual agreement between the Mayor and Kaz :D

The day one patch will not go live until Dec 6 at 12:00am @ildd.

You can always change the region to update earlier. I guess:P

Another point of duscussion
The Vision GT cars. As there are now confirmed to be at least 28 of them, is it safe to assume that there will be one each fortnight until the end of 2014?

I'm pretty sure the patch would be out for all regions at one universal time
