You could have PD say that all them features will be Day 1 on PS4 Disc and give a date to when an update will be out for PS3 owners.
Yes, that is true.
However, if the online is split between PS4 and PS3 (ie PS3 can't be in the same lobby as PS4), I don't see that boding well for the online community. Dividing an already fractioned and diminishing community would not be good.
Also...how would pricing be handled?
I would not expect PS3 people to have to pay a dime for the missing features (ie GT6 2.0).
As someone who as already payed full price for GT6, I personally would not be willing to shell out much more money to buy a PS4 GT6 at full price. At most, I would pay $10-$15 for a PS4 upgrade (same as what was done with BF4 and other titles).
But if that is the way things would be handled, that seems like an awful lot of effort on PDs part for not much return.
I dunno, just my take on the situation.
Anxiously awaiting E3 in hopes of at least some info from PD...but like most of know by now, we'll just have to wait and see.
Who knows, maybe we'll see a preview of some new Mars Rover content or something
