No, it won't.Doing some massive PR for the game won't work with so much of the attention focused on Next gen.

No, it won't.
I'm agreeing with you.Do you mean it will or...? Abit confused at your response.
I'm agreeing with you.
While I can exact recall off the top of my head, I don't recall GT being the overall best selling franchise on the Playstation consoles. I could be wrong, but the point is some people here making a huge deal about how GT is being marketed here when its not even a next gen Title so it makes little to no sense to do so. It worked for God Of War Ascension and the Last Of Us because they came out well before the next gen console. Doing some massive PR for the game won't work with so much of the attention focused on Next gen. How many people outside this forum would even notice?
God of Wars hasn't sold anywhere near what Gran Turismo had. The only former Sony exclusive that has sold anywhere near GT is Grand Theft Auto, and it's not an exclusive title anymore.
I'm hoping for a large, thick, solid, tight package.I wouldn't say Monday but next week for sure. Kaz talked about two big updates in January, there's a lot of car launches at Detroit, the VGT cars and all. Of course we are getting our update in the next days... It will come, we just dont know exactly what is in the package. :-)

The Detroit Motor Show is coming. We may see a massive update to the game, which may be why they were delaying it, possibly new VGT machines from Volkser, BMW, Toyota and Subaru, the BMW M4 will finally make it's Murican debut and the in-game machine may get updated as well into a new machine, the C7 Z06 is making it's debut at Detroit next week as well, PD can't pass up this machine with all the Vettes they have in GT right now and their previous history with the C7 Stingray.
We might also see the first paid DLC for the game in this update.
In conclusion, I'm ridiculously pumped
Thank you for doing my job. I was too lazy yesterday to get sarcastic 👍The big update will arrive today or tomorrow because the American astronomical society had its 2014 conference this week (http://aas.org/meetings/223rd-aas-meeting-washington-dc). Expect new constellations above Spa and a new time trial event on the Fra Mauro highlands, even maybe driving the space shuttle to the launch pad, that's just me hoping though but it all makes sense.
In April we will see a big update with all the car sounds improved, probably Kaz himself showing up at the 15th International Vacuum Electronics Conference (http://ivec2014.org). PD can't pass up that new 3500W Miele that is rumored to be revealed.
In conclusion, I have pumply ridiculized myself!
Errmmm.... OkI'm hoping for a large, thick, solid, tight package.
GTA was never exclusive... GT is the only long running Sony published exclusive title so nothing comes close because nothing has been running exclusily for so long while being made at a constant high standard and not flooding the market.God of Wars hasn't sold anywhere near what Gran Turismo had. The only real competitor in this regard is Halo...
Edit: and Nintendo games I guess lol
GTA was exclusive until the final years of xbox.
Wrong, the original two games came out on PC and gameboy... I'm pretty sure the PC version predates the ps1 version too...GTA was exclusive until the final years of xbox.

Fair enough I played the PC version first and didn't know about the PSX version until later so I just assumed the PC version came first and that if I was wrong someone would google itPC/PS1 version of the original both released in October 1997, the gameboy version came out at some point in 1999.
True statementAck there it is, we need to stop making news out of nothing and going into a full blown discussion of this "nothing news". I hate being a debbie downer and raining on people's parades, and I'm optimistic myself, but all these news and events... Wheres the link between the news to the GT6 specifically?
Obviously there is an update coming, or some form of game patch, but we are tying things that are just motoring related to GT6. So there's the Detroit Auto Show but people are linking it to GT6 without any actual proof or word from the car manufacturers involved or PD. I'm as impatient as everyone on getting new content but we need to actually focus and look at whats been officially released statements.
Nothing suggests next Monday will involve Gran Turismo (if it does, I'll be happy), but when we get too optimistic and speculate too much, it might confuse some people who might take opinions as facts...
I did notice this watching a replay of the R18 and went to cockpit cams (I like to see how they place the different cameras) and noticed my driver wearing a full Team Audi LeMans suit, and it was perfect... I looked like Alan McNish... But I was stumped why I couldn't buy it... Perhaps a licensing thing...I don´t like to make threads to things that I find in the game so it is good to put it up here like "news"...(as the fog at Streets of Willow)
In arcade mode I find out that depending in the brand you choose (BMW, Lotus, Mini Cooper as examples) the pilot wear a gear with said brand. I mean the helmet and the gear relates to that particular brand of the car you are using at the moment.
Not sure how many of you likes to make hot laps as me to compare cars and such, then I use to do photo sessions and find out those, let´s call them "hidden gears". (probably this happened in GT5 as well, but not sure never paid attention to it)
Examples with some pics (mine):
Mini Cooper S (check the helmet, it even matches the colour of the car):
BMW M4, M5 (no matter which one, the gear and helmet is always the same with the BMW logo on top):
Lotus Seven and Europa (even if it doesn´t have the brand logo it tries to match the known colours of the brands but in the Europa car it clearly has it):
As I said this only happens in Arcade mode. Lovely detail there by PD. Weird that we can´t buy those though.
PS: Also waiting for the update/s of this month and new VGT car and features.

I wouldn't mind an option for my avatar to default to team colors depending on the car I'm in... Or earn the option, or have proper factory events that treats you like your on a team.
It wasn't. The first games were available for PC as well as Playstation.

The 3D non-topdown-view GTA games were exclusive to the PS2. No need to get anal with technicalities. The guy's point was sort of valid.Either way, GTA has never been an "exclusive". Stalin would be so proud.
