On the car front people need to be conscious of the fact that whilst FM5 only has 200 cars Turn10 chruned out 200 next gen cars for their new game whilst pd only churned out 120 odd, Turn 10 wins hands down on that front.

@BHRxRacer I know you cant get online yet but can you tell if its still possible to gift cars to friends?

Thanks.
Pd has GT5 premium cars can you count? And they (T10) buy models from other companies, see the F40(wrongly modeled)

This is what I am more interested in, not standard cars, not BMW's, not livery mode or any other rubbish.

Is the game part of the game filled out? Do we have loads of manufacturer events, championships etc.

This. I'm not much of an online racer so this is the thing that makes it or breaks it for me. Of this depends me buying GT6 right now at full price or waiting for the Platinum Ultra Mega XXXL edition for $5 bucks with all DLC.

You can see difference ? Not me.

If there is a drop to 60 fps, you can't see it since Youtube blocked at 30fps. It's impossible.

For tearing, nobody found this after playing demos. Normal : GT6 is v-synced.

Don't you think that video at first need's to be slowed down by factor of 2, to show us all the frames of 60fps video input? Even thou I can show you a skipped frames, but now I think it's just not worth it because "somebody not seeing the difference"...

Actually I can (show you skipped frames), If you really want me to. There is a way. ;) But it requires lot of work, to prove really.

Recognizing difference between 30 fps and 60 fps is one of the easiest and natural things human eyes can do. Just don't use youtube as reference.

Are there only 3 events at Novice level? Please tell me there are more at b, a and so on. :scared:
There are approximately 175 races above novice level, which is much more than what GT1 and GT5 had. But that's well short of totals for GT2, GT3 and GT4.

Hopefully the seasonal events are vastly improved, not the dross we have been getting for the last two years.

I criticize when I have GT6 in my hand, not watching youtube.

Regarding paint chips, it's good to hear that they are, at least, infinitely reusable. I am most likely correct in assuming you acquire them by purchasing cars. However, do you only get one color per car you purchase or do you get all of the colors associated with each car you buy? Also, I assume you always pay 5000 credits to change a color, correct?

Nvidia were not presenting their G-Sync as "best new gaming feature that's not GPU" if it all be that easy. ;)
Or you think I've pulled all of that (took me about hour) "from the air"? :)

I suggest just to understand my post, you will discover many new beautiful things about gaming. Please do not take it personally, all that is actually not as oblivious as it looks. 👍

took me 10-15 mins to gold the Coffee challenge. Not sure if it's a long time or not, it seemed impossible when I was half asleep last night. Should I upload the video and give away the secret or let you guys discover it on your own?
Yes upload it please. Anyone that doesn't want to see it doesn't have to watch it. Maybe put "spoiler" in the title or something. Thanks..👍👍

I don't know if any one has asked this question bit can you do a vid with autumn ring at night?

Oh and another question, can you use the cars you have in your in career in arcade mode?

I play games on my PC at around 18 fps at times.

My person FPS guide:
0-9 FPS, frustrating.
10-13 FPS, nearly playable.
14-19 FPS, playable.
20-29 FPS, pretty nice!
30+ it really looks all the same after 30...

Agree....but you notice fps drops from 60 to 40/30. Same from 30 to 20. I would say PD should shoot for 40 or 50 fps and increase the overall quality. I don't think many would notice...I think its just for PDs bragging rights

For good gameplay 60 fps are needed.
If in gt6 the cockpit view is like the demo, I am going to play the whole game from the hood view.
Also in the demo the cockpit view had more aliasing issues and the track quality was really bad.
I loved the hood view in the demo, may be the most smooth and polished view I've ever played on ps3,
maybe we have to wait gt7 to reach at least that smooth quality in cockpit view.

Would be nice to know if turning off the rearview mirrors the framerate improves... but I don't think there's an option for that. Reflections on the cockpit parts should be the major issue.

Have you ever seen 60 vs 50 fps consistently? You don't really notice the difference unless there is a fps drop which happens in gt5 quite often, and brings the quality down. I agree 100% that 60fps is awesome and should be done, but not if its not reliable. That or turn the resolution down which I would personally be more against....all my opinions though:)

No. Just no. 60 or 30, because your display runs at 60hz. It will stutter otherwise (refresh rate is not synchronized with frames per second displayed). Even if you can't see it (brain not realizing) you will always feel it. You just need to see a perfect 60fps at 60hz and, to say 55fps at 60hz "head-to-head" one time and you will be able to notice it forever.

And no - V-Sync doesn't help. Take GT5 Prologue intro for a good example (watch it on original disc, not downloaded), especially when camera moves or pans at beginning. You will see, I swear :) Perfect motion is only close term how to describe it.

Actually I think if PS3 were able to display at 50hz it will be perfect choice! GT5 rarely runs below 50fps but whole problem is due PS3 displays only at 60hz. 50fps on 60hz is not a best choice really...(5 frames displayed, 1 skipped, because you displaying @60hz)

Good explanation, one of the best Ive seen. :) I would rather see it at consistant 30 FPS with no drops at all and use the extra power from the 15-30 frames to go towards slightly better, ill say... fixing up those distant shadows and smoothing out the other little processing power related bugs. :)

Thanks!

Worst thing is actually variable frame-rate because our brain is always trying to adapt to the situation. In other words it (you) will never feel safe, it's like something almost unnoticeable but goes wrong.

When did this change to the FPS General Discussion thread?

Sorry, but I can't resist but to explain this, because it has everything to do with GT and gaming in general (and only with gaming). It's up to mods to do something if they want. I've tried my best.
