We do? I'm not going to give them props for managing to meet their own targets three days before release (by introducing more dupes, no less).

I'm glad they got to the actual number, but I stand by pretty much everything I said before when we didn't know. Deltawing shenanigans aside which was probably out of their control, why give your customers the run around?
Awww. :guilty: I was just having fun with you @Imari. Ahh oh well, I know you're at least happy to see the two Deltawings in GT6 from the inside. :sly:

Mazda VGT ! i want a successor of the RX7 !

I simply want more rotaries!! Bring on the Mazda R100, RX-2, RX-3, RX-4, even the ugly RX-5! Also the HB and JC Cosmo! It would be interesting too to see the NSU Spider and Ro80, such unique cars!

I'm a bit sad and disapointed that the Mercedes "carriage" car (the world's first "car") and the Ford Model T weren't included but they introduced the Lunar Rover instead. Interesting none the less.

Well judging from all the empty spaces and lots of ----------------'s, im pretty sure the racing grid will get larger!

Makes sense, I forgot about that. It will also be interesting to find out (once online mode goes live) how many online players can race at the same time in one race.

Yeah how many players were allowed in gt5? 16 i think? well somehow i doubt there will be more than that... oh well GT7 will be on ps4, so maybe more of a grid then?

I think he just turned right slighty because he accidentally hit the car in front?

That's only the first part, which I'm not sure is the AI avoiding anything -- maybe though as the car looks to jink to the right at the last moment. Probably coincidence there though. But, at the end of the video the AI clearly sees the accident ahead quite a bit before it reaches it. The AI makes the decision to wait and see what happens before it dives into the corner, which proves to be the right choice as the player car comes out towards him. The AI successfully avoids an accident by staying wide and going around the player car wiping out. Great stuff.

Great scott you're right! Didn't even notice, used to watch people drive so assumed it was a human I guess lol.

The best part is that right at this exact moment is when the AI driver starts to make evasive action, WELL before arriving at the site.

That's brilliant. Literally just after the player car hits the wall you see the Elise instinctively jink to the left as it's already braking. This screenshot is taken just a few frames after it's made that decision. The AI knows the player car is blocking the race line and prepares to go around it less than a quarter second after the collision has occurred at this distance -- really almost an instant reaction and for sure just as good as a human reaction in the same circumstance.

Perhaps PD implemented something in the AI so that it reacts to collisions or spinning cars. Who knows how it works and how well it works -- here it obviously looks great but we can't judge one situation as the all and everything -- but it seems the AI driver changes its line as soon as that wall collision occurs and it pays off. It's still not quite like a human (which we're years and years away from tbqh) since it doesn't react that strongly once the player car is rolling towards it and about to hit it -- it just barely makes it past the ever-closing gap between the outside wall and the player car -- but the fact that it put itself in a situation to avoid a collision and continued on a line to avoid it is very impressive at this stage.

I still can't believe this is a PS3 game. They seem to have rid the game of most of the graphical nuisances from GT5. Photomode to Photomode, I don't really think there is an appreciable difference [to me] between GT6 and FM5. That's not to say there isn't a physical difference, but we've really gotten to the point of diminishing returns. Remember the huge steps up from PS1 to PS2, and then again from PS2-PS3? PS3 can already produce some truly life-like environments.

I have a feeling GT7 on PS4 will simply be uncanny.

There was a successor to the RX7, it was called the RX8... and there will soon be a successor to the RX8 called the RX9...

We've been so used to the bad AI - this is revolutionary!
