I did try the sensitivity out on my G27 yesterday and it definitely made a difference. Having adjusted the Force feedback and the sensitivity I now find it much nicer to use than previously. I didn't use my wheel much because I found the reactions too slow (at least that's how it felt), but it's much better now and I can see myself using it almost exclusively.
Also followed the advise given earlier to try the AI in arcade mode in a Professional race with the AI aggressiveness turned right up - found this to be a lot of fun with much more realistic AI driving.
Would love to be able to set the AI aggression for GT life A-Spec mode to - hopes this is implemented in GT6.

Just thought of something guys: Remember the last time we saw anything new from GT6 prior to E3? It was the Nurburgring 24 Hours, where we got our first look at the Bilstein Audi R8 LMS. Now this week, we have the 24 Hours Of Le Mans and the last time we saw any GT related Gameplay, it was in 2010 showing off the Peugeot 908 and it was months away from release (like GT6 is at present).

Now I won't necessarily guarantee we'll see anything as I don't want to set anyone up for disappointment, but I bring that up in light of the comments (regarding "Manufacterer events" or something along those lines) Kaz mentioned back at the Silverstone presentation (as well as based on previous history) so its something to think about.

Gran Turismo has no involvement at Le Mans this year, all it's advertising spots have actually been taken by Forza. Not sure if any car is carrying branding, but there should be a stand in the 'village' section of the paddock.

I must be playing GT wrong, for 15 years I've been trying to avoid the barriers.

This defence is still as stupid as its always been. Just because crashing, contact and off track excursions are not intententional most of the times doesn't mean its not an important part of the overall simulation.

See i don't like this excuse, contact/crashing is still a part of racing,
They shouldn't be doing half hearted work on these areas if they want to build a "driving simulator" imo.

Is it really the best idea to bump off the barrier and catch up others easily when in real life your car would still rotate around?

You're saying this now. But imagine your face when you wreck a car in 24hr le mans in the 21st hour.

For people who want hardcore simulation and realism that should be possible, they should of course also allow people to tone down the damage if they choose as well. Still even with damage off the physics of the accident/spin should still be realistic even if nothing actually get's damaged.

In real life, you don't always win. If you want to race the 24 and expect to win, then its as simple as toning down all the difficulty settings and turning on all assists. I on the other hand prefer a challenge, and the suspense of not knowing if I will win or not. If I don't then I will try again, but some people just want to win everything on their first try to 100% a game, which I personally find to be boring as hell.

Crash physics are important. When you crash, you are still trying to control the car, so implementation of proper physics is needed for authentic simulation of this.

Who cares about spinning off barriers lol seriously. They should be concentrating on engine sounds in my opinion, the cars in GT sound terrible, LFS has been out for years and there engine sounds sound 10x more realistic than GTs.

Another popular misconception. Tell me, in your job does the cleaner also do the accounting?

This was discussed in Jordan's interview with Kaz. You read it right? So then leave the issue alone. They are dealing with it the best they can with what tools they have available. Mind you, I'm one of the biggest complainers.

Nicely said Dave. PDI has acknowledged their sound issues and have stated that they are working on it.

That should be good for everyone.👍

Why would you need to tone down anything or use all assists to win the 24 hour race? All you need to do is drive a decent car and not go off track to often and you can win the event with ease. On GT4 I ran the Old Lemans 24hr using a 787B with a worn out engine, no upgrades and dirty oil and still won by 16 laps. On the other Lemans race I used an Audi R8 worn out, no upgrades, dirty oil and won by 35 laps. I think i would have need to use a GT or street car to make it a challenge.

I do as well, I remember on GT4 running the Laguna Seca endurance race for 200 spec points and loosing by like 5 seconds only to jump right back in an try again winning by 1 lap on the second try. Was a lot of fun :)

I agree it would be nice if they were a bit more realistic but they are nice as is when someone slams you.

That's my main gripe with GT mode races, you enter every race feeling entitled to a win,to use another example Career Mode in the Fifa games,I am not expecting to win every single game easily ,I don't mind losing a match here getting knocked out of a cup there.Point is I'd rather have a hard fought podium finish or a DNF every race or too than to be expected to win every single race from the start of the game to the end.

I'd rather they work on mechanical breakdowns ahead of proper barrier collisions.

Like an invisible god hand points at a random car and says "your turbo is now disintegrated"? :)

No thanks.

Adds nothing for me, no satisfaction for the cars that make it through a season with no failures unless it's because they did something differently, and apart from over revving there's not much scope for that.

Obviously it would be an option so you could turn it off. Those of us that like to run online racing series with maximum realism can use it if we want. Mechanical failures are part of racing, if you want "realistic barrier impacts" I don't see how having mechanical failures is any different.

If they were to do random mechanical failures then they should assign a base value to each car and then modify that based on upgrades done and driving style miles since last rebuild/breakdown to get the chance of failure. Could be a cool option but could also be aggravating.

On the same note I would think that some manufactures would not like it much if their cars were always breaking down in the game where others would be almost indestructible.
