It's slower, but not because of the V6 though. It's slower because 2011 was the first year of the 2011-2013 ruleset. The 2013 R18 also has a V6 and is very close to being as fast as anything from 2010. It goes in cycles, the rules change every once in a while and the cars become slower but then slowly get faster over the years until another rule change.

From what I was told when I preordered my copy, every preordered copy of GT6 from GameStop will be the anniversary edition. So as long as you preordered from GameStop, you're fine.

Just got back from my local GameStop, I have the normal game already pre ordered but when I asked about the anniversary edition they said that it wasn't available. So hopefully you're right about every copy being the anniversary edition.
