The AI does look better.

They still brake too early, force you off the track if you're in the way of the Apex, and give up when you pass them.

However they seem to pass a lot more often, in fact in one area two AI's entered the corner practically side by side. They also seem to exit the corner with more confidence, which means more speed.

Overall it isn't great, but it's better than what it was at in GT5.

Assuming its final, how do we know that's just on the lowest settings?

Because at public game show (which is NOT predominately visited by sim racing enthusiasts mind you), the last thing you to do is turn off people by having all the maximum difficulty settings on default. Yes there's options to ramp it up but lets be real, people on average that come up to try a game just want to play it with little to no difficulty. Its about being approachable and its not just PD, many developers also do this.

This is what I've been saying.

Don't they all do that when you race at the "Beginner" Arcade level? They stomp on the brakes and are slow at every part of the course that isn't a straight away. And gaming journalists go out of their way to race on Beginner.

The flaps/spoilers on the Huayra move independently of each other!!! Yes!! I can't wait to see if the front ones work as well!

Has their been any footage of the menus yet on this demo? I was hoping to see the car selection of the demo.

Awesome. That's what was missing in GT5. Either or the Murcielago and the Aventador didn't have these visual functionalities. It was a bit annoying.

I don't think either car have those functioning like that, those only open to cool down the car and given that the game seems to only simulate heat in the tires, I can't really see the use for them. The only aerodynamics the Aventador has is the rising wing at speed.

Also, the Izusu concept actually has those flaps.

No, I know. I did say "Visual" functionalities. It's simply better to look at when you're watching a reply.

It's interesting though. If that Standard Isuzu Concept has those functioning flaps, what does that mean? That they really do affect the aerodynamics of the car even though it's a Standard, or is it there for aesthetic reasons? There might be a couple of other questions I can add, but I think I gave the gist of what I mean.

First Gumpert, now Wiesmann.

...They haven't changed at all, still just follow the leader - single file please gentlemen rubbish...
I swear that you watch different videos than those you quote - that or you like to generalise. I distinctly saw the AI fighting amongst each other for position, which is hardly single file.

Also on the Matterhorn vid from Gamescom, at least one AI seems to be angling for a quick overtake before the race starts. Granted it's not proof of a hardened AI but as others have suggested, maybe that's just the way it is set up for these events.

@MeanElf- Don't waste your time on Phil, he's been in many threads trying to provoke reactions from people. A little trollish I would say.
Yeah, I know - I just can't help myself sometimes :)

Some of you guys are unbelievably hopeful that the GT6 AI won't blow as much as it does on those GamesCom videos.
Ahh, hope is the variety of life for me. It also fits in with Faith, Hope and Charity :sly:

I can't help but think they upgraded at least one important model of every car line to premium, thus leaving all the standard versions up to your own choice...

The images of the car lineup give me this feeling, somehow...

Now to get my hopes shot down by Samus :)
