I think this is my last run of the week. I'm going to have to spend so much time getting my pace up on my PS5.

Fastest laps this week on my PS4 were 1:41.0 ( I did that twice) and 1:41.1 a few times.

Fastest laps on PS5 were high 1:41's IF I managed to get out the the 1:42's...It's so frustrating, but I need to figure it out.

Hopped into some Race B action with the NSX Gr.4 and its 1:40.987 QT.

Race 1: Started P4. Got lucky gaining a position on a Huracan halfway through the race, only to nearly lose it to them coming out of the final corner. They lifted before the line, gifting me a P3 podium*. Collected my 10th Fastest Lap on Lap 4 (1:41.775).

Race 2: Started P8. Fun tight race, despite a losing a couple places. Finished P10.

Dropped my QT down to a 1:40.589.

Race 3: Started P6. Smacked a slow Huracan that did an unsafe rejoin after they blew Turn 6 on Lap 1. I had a brainfart solo spin coming out of the last corner on Lap 2. Could only manage P12.

Race 4: Started P2. Lead Huracan suffered braking oversteer heading into Turn 1 on Lap 3, and wiped out. I held on and lucked into my 14th win, with a P1.

Race 5: Started P6. Managed to gain a position, but struggled to keep up with the lead cars. Finished P5.

Race 6: Started P5. Hit the curbing wrong going up the esses on Lap 1 and had a solo spin, dropping me down to P16 (last). Gained a few positions, only to lose them after having another solo spin at the second chicane on Lap 4. Barely managed a P15.

Didn't want to end my day on a downer, so one more! A statement that will in no way come back to haunt me whatsoever! 😬

Race 7: Started P3. A Huracan shoved me wide at Turn 6 on Lap 1, losing me a few places. I bonked an innocent Audi TT at the second chicane on Lap 2, severely compromising their race. I did my best to stay behind them and bump draft for the rest of the race, apologizing after the checkered flag. Finished P10.

Decided to end my day on a bit of a downer after all... 😅

Not a bad race day, all things considered. Finished five out of seven races P10 or better, collected a Fastest Lap, two podiums - one of them a win - and unless things change, my 1:40.589 ties me with Metal Ape on my Friends Ranking for P1, and puts me at Global #3092.

edit: * After watching the replay from Race 1, I noticed the Huracan that lifted at the line had a 0.5 second penalty, so I would've finished P3 regardless. Lucky! 😮

Did two Race B this morning and gave a try to the NSX after seeing some love from here.

Race 1 started P2 with my 1.40.9 QT of the Ferrari. I can keep up with P1 Hurracan and we had a good clean fight. Unfortunately, we both went wide on the grass in the last chicane of lap 3 and P3 Hurracan pass us both. Finish P3 0.8 from the leader. I really felt I could win this one but I guess I did target fixation and did the same thing the car in front did.

Race 2 started on POLE still in the NSX. But I can't really push the car to match my QT since I barely know it. So slowly but surely I drop position to every Hurracan coming from behind. Finish P4. Sad race for my 7th pole position.

Next week is another story...

I wish PD put some road car races for B or C. Make them monomake race and the BOP between a wide range of cars is not an issue. Almost every current Daily Race become monomake by the end of the week anyway.

You can ram from every direction and spin people out off track
From what I've seen, only hit from behind is penalize, every contact coming from the side is not in the penalty algorithm.

Is anyone else experiencing some proper lag this week? I've been trying B but the rest of the grid are just jerking all over the place.
Had a horrendous race on B yesterday - everyone was ghosted for the first lap, and the race only started half way round the first left hander. Then I got someone behind me lagging and warping all over the place in a Scirrocco. His warping was so impressive that he set a race best lap that would be around P1 in the world! 1:38.0ish

I've mostly done B (badly!:lol: ) this week, but tried C today and managed to sneak a satisfying win in the 458 due to pit strategy. It's nice having around 6 different cars in with a chance of a win in Gr3 - on twistier tracks anyway - hardly seen a Supra or BMW this week.

That's a great step and achievement for getting up in the B rank. The highest I got to was a high-C rank after finishing in the top 5 in 15 to 20 races at Trial Mountain a few months ago. You should be proud of yourself. Go celebrate! :cheers:

You're not alone mate, I had some bad races at Watkins Glen a couple weeks ago, I was so drowsy during my 10th race I accidentally ran into the wall before going straight to the finish line. Just keep having faith if you ever get in a rough spot in a race. Sometimes you gotta stay back from those crazy drivers out there. Don't be afraid. It's frustrating for me at times, but I try to cope with the stress and intensity during the races.

And you can hit from behind quite hard. The car gets broken and you still dont get penalty. Maybe making higher SR give easier penalty is the only way to get some cleaner races. And to make contacts take away even more SR. That is the only way to make people think twice what is worth the risk. To even TRY clean racing. At the moment people try every divebomb and banging to side is the new normal.
 
I wondered why we had a 3 car break away in the first race of the day at the Ring. It seems not everyone got the message that Schwedenkreuz is not flat in these cars.


Good to see you back around racing with us, I'm stuck without a ps4 at the moment...so I'm just sitting back in the crowd watching...

Ok, I know it's not worth complaining, but WHY do we get the same tracks over and over and over again. Another Trial Mountain GR3?

I'm so stoked that there's so many tracks, and variations of tracks, and so many cars...just to play Trial Mountain again, and again, and again.

Like throw a Lago Maggiore in there or something....or maybe just cycle through all the tracks at least once!

I'll stick to Race A I suppose 🙄 👎

Some years ago we had the exact same issue with Lago Maggiore week after week.
Maybe you tried to be ironic with that and I didnt catch it.

I was so far off I didn't even bother, lol. No matter what I did I was just in the freakin' way.🤣

Tried running more laps and baked-in some tips and guidance from here but made zero progress. Actually, zero would've been preferred. Once the frustration set-in the laps were just getting longer and longer. Called it and didn't look back.👍

Hoping this is a better week...:cheers:

I'll probably stick with C this week and have a dabble in Race A occasionally

Oh that is annoying as my piloting skills are pretty rusty for the GR2 stuff so I've just been focusing on QT for B with the aim of grinding out a few results to get back in to A again. Doh!

May have to switch tact and focus on C!
 


Managed two wins so far on the Nurb, my first two on this track as well, the Mazda isn't a bad wagon. Thought I was a bit harsh with the Lexus at the end but the replay made it look fairly clean, what'd you reckon?

Amazing ending! Wow that was close, you held. Good line and fair play to him for not diving in somewhere 😀
