Race C is a fantastic combo to drive. Lobbies are very thin though. Have won 2 races by over 30 seconds…

Hopefully the A+ brigade will arrive later this evening.
I could kind of say the same for A. The Beat is always a surprisingly sketchy car to handle, and this combo is about keeping your speed up as much as possible. Got dumped out of 2 lobbies, but did have 1 solid race as a guy who no qualified almost ran me down at the end.

And suddenly no daily roulette of disappointment for today. Oh well. Figure it out later.

This absolute mess is my general experience in Race A at the Lesmo's. Both runs on the inside are just nuts and can't be pulled off without the full intention of forcing my car off.

Nevermind the 3 second penalty I had because a car braked far too early into the 1st chicane and I gently nudged the bloody thing over the tarmac. Of course no penalties for forcing me off though.

i feel your pain! happened to me a lot over the weekend C rated drivers...Gotcha if you are on here youre part of the problem..so many races ruined in the first corner due to braking too hard and then pushing others wide into the gravel...mind you, i got good at being at last then getting onto the podium!! LOL

Definitely looking forward to this week's Race A, even if it doesn't permit tuning like that one where you could tune an E46 M3 at Alsace. Kei cars have been fun to drive in my experience, and seem well-suited to relatively smaller circuits like Maggiore Center and Kyoto Miyabi, but also venues like Tsukuba.

won't speak for anyone else but the damage situation make this one seem like a waste of time. between that and the penalties still being easily exploited, its been a long time since i went in for my Daily Humiliation Ticket. there was a point where i accepted they wouldn't change those things, and race anyways... but then the other issue - there aren't really enough players in North America - comes into play. on GTS i could load up any time of day and have a competitive field (i only started playing last year), with GT7 it already feels like if i want a competitive race, i've got to race in the evening.

i do suspect that GT7 has seen its maximum number of Active Users, due to the games coming out the remainder of this year / early next year. while i'll drive again if they fix the Sport experience... i'm not sure what they could really do at this point to bring casual users / disappointed single player users back.

They could do a lot, hell this thread alone is full of good ideas that could be adapted and implemented or converted into bigger changes etc. should the will be there. It's not looking like it is.

I'm glad some here are excited for this weeks daillies but to me the listing for this week smacks of laziness when it comes to Sport mode. Nothing is different or inspiring and we've seen these tracks far too often lately.

More content. I think it would be that easy. Double or rather triple the number of single player race events. The tracks are there, the cars are there. It would be just the effort of programming more races and championships. From there on it's just statistics: with a larger number of casual gamers staying involved in single player mode, there would automatically be more players taking a look at sports mode, too.

And of course, get the penalty settings in sports mode back to the state before they "fixed" it.

I'm loving both B and C this week. Did 1 qualy lap for Race B before jumping in, started last and finished 8th. Then put some effort into qualy for both races and quite pleased with where I stand so far 🙂 Can definitely improve so fingers crossed for a good race week 🤞🏻

Biggest complaint I see from single players is that only 4 races have big payouts so they're not motivated to race the others. Easy fix there to double or triple the content overnight for those who have that issue.

Sport mode rewards could still do with a decent size bump as well really.

These are my qualy laps. Happy to have some decent times on Monday so I can focus on the actual races all week 🙂 Funnily enough, I tried the AMG for a lap in Sardegna and went a tenth faster but it's not even close to the stability of the Supra.

Seems the 911 is the meta this week but I don't like it and still getting good results with my trusty Toyota 🙂

Hi all! Race C is great, I will spend some time tthis week boosting my DR:) Did 3 races this morning two 2nd places and one 5th. No stop on mediums seems to be fastest strategy I think? 1.21,1xx is my Q time, I think I can do 20.8xx. See you on track:)

Wow that is an incredible qualy time and set of results, well done 😎

Just did my first Race C and only started 11th with 1:22:3 😱 Was in top tier for sure as my DR is very close to A+ now and also have an SR of S. TheKie started and finished 1st and is in the 1:20's 👽🤣

It was a very intense and a clean race, some good overtakes and was also passed by a guy who started last and finished 4th 😎 Everyone did a one stop RS/ RS btw.

I finished 7th and very happy 😁🎉

Jesus. I’ve done nearly 100 races on Monza this week and Lesmo has never been any isssue. The clowns unable to understand that they have to brake for della Roggia coming in hot with road cars at 280 with braking capabilities far from racing cars are the issue. As well as Curva Grande of course. Sometimes the clean race bonus is actually kept, despite being flown off like in the video below but sometimes it’s also lost beyond your control which sucks.

Race A man, if someone is behind you going into the Lesmo's you know exactly what's about to happen, just shove you off into the dirt. Really frustrating.
I'll brake if I'm behind you and be extra cautious in the hope that you try to take the corner full send. Haha. Wait. There's someone behind me too! Crap....

Race A is a lot of fun.

No idea why they disabled SR/DR updates for it if they had them on with the Civic event though, honestly I assume them having it on at all for that race was a mistake.
Yes it is.

I did one race, qualified P2, polesitter bottled the start, and it went suprisingly easy from there on, won with 7 sec. to P2, because I just forgot to make my usual mistakes🤣.

The race even seemed to be relatively clean. It maybe helps that it's difficult to divebomb in T1/T2 with that tiny car. And that no DR/SR is involved, although I would have liked to have it count in that race...

at this stage, i believe this to be a feature and not a bug.

i know everyone here realizes 'its a business of course it wants to make money'. but i feel like many of us are evaluating this game in a vacuum instead of comparing to other 'sport' games. clearly, the goal for Gran Turismo 7 is revenue-maximization... and now that the title is starting to be discounted, the in-game transactions (likely from new players) are the revenue stream. a new player buys the game, does the content, wants to buy a car in the legends dealer, hasnt had dozens of hours of grinding, buys the car - while rationalizing that they got the game on sale anyways. while i imagine several events will get added each month (and maybe more opportunities to spend money to win raffle tickets, like last time!), they're not suddenly going to double or triple the events.

i see this a lot more like a 2K title now, where the game will only last until the servers go offline, and the goal is to pull as much real cash out of the user as possible during that window. the most recent NBA game effectively requires another $100 for players to be competitive online - every year they have steadily lowered the opportunity to play / develop 'offline' and made it more expensive to play online. for PD/sony/whoever, the current Sport Mode doesn't that capability, and the current player base will refuse to play if its pay-to-win. i think thats why they continue to mail in the mode and prefer to update 'fine details'.

I can't drive the Supra. Hopefully the Mustang is competitive.

As you will see, I'm nowhere near your QT, but I still managed a good first race - went from 7th to 4th on mediums non-stopping (in the GTR).

First 3 all ran one stop softs, and the two Lexuses that started behind me on softs passed me very early on, but both seemed to struggle after their pitstop, and I passed both of them while they were offroad!

I'm a bit sad 🤣 Was having a great Race B after starting P9 and being in P5 by the end of lap 3 😎 From turn 1 of lap 1 the barging had already started but was keeping my cool and managing the hits...

But then the ramming intensified and in the last 2 laps was shoved from 5th all the way down to 8th 😢 Still happy with my driving.

Then as I was waiting for the next race i manage to hook up a lap and improved my qualy time from 52:1 to 51:9 🎉 Hoping for good racing tomorrow as done for the evening! Good luck folks 🙂
