Did some practice/quali laps for B today in the Porsche. 51.5 is my best thus far. This is actually a fun layout......... for TT. Not so much for racing. There is basically one, maybe two passing spots. This looks to be a 2 account week.
No sooner did you say it than I saw you on the second account!

It really is a fun layout. I didn’t think I’d like it at all. Quite the opposite! I ran my 500th online race today . . . and won it! I blew a lot of others trying to get it memorized, but I’ve gotten top five finishes in most of them other than when I saw @Talon16 and totally blew it. I’m starting up front, which really helps, but something about this track agrees with me. I may finally creep my way up towards A this week at this rate! I’m sure that’ll fade, but it’ll be a fun target.

This week's B is not one to start from the back. Ask me how I know. Holy ****show.

I was watching you go up and down the board wondering what was going on. And I passed by you a couple times as I was doing random wall checks on myself. It’s a nutty circuit, but man is it fun!

I’m not sure about everyone else, but I’m having a great time with the Honda Beats! There’s just something about pushing a slow car to its limits, rather than having to exercise greater caution with something like a GR2 or 3 car. Also as someone that races with the manual transmission always, it’s a different control flow than just slamming through gears with a sequential like we usually do in Daily Races.

Sorry for my bad english
These week for the first time ever, I have problems at Race A at the Start: Delay from about 0,75 - 1,00 s. !!!!!
Starting Third and Aceleration began, when I am P7 to P9. My connection, so says the insert, are good.
What can iI do

Last time I checked for Daily Race A, I was in the top 3000 times in my region, but it feels like the best times are a solid few seconds faster. It seems that we can install aero parts (barring a widebody) despite the fact that tuning/settings are disabled. Could those aero parts explain why those top times seem so much faster? I do have a Beat without a widebody to spare, but I’ve been renting so far.

I believe they are only cosmetic and that they make no difference to the performance of the car. Correct me if I am wrong though

Really? Because I could’ve sworn that when I install certain aero parts - and when settings are enabled - I’m able to tune the front and rear downforce on cars that may not permit you to do so as-stock.

As I say, I might be wrong, but I think that I saw somebody say something like that here a while back.

What's your PSN if you don't mind? Sounds like we could be in the same lobbies. Feel free to add me if you like, mine is TechnoIsLove just like here 😁

As far as I know, the modifications don't do anything when BOP is applied.

With that car and track, it's all about practice and improvement. I felt I was so damn slow in the beginning, but after some dozens of practice laps I found almost two seconds on the track and started races on pole.

Sardegna and Kyoto.

Again.
Well it is Sard C and Kyoto reverse this time so something different at least.

Can you post a video so we can see? I'm not sure what would cause that.

Only if tuning is enabled. If it's BOP'd then they are just for show.

I didn't make a video, i'll try it next time - Thank you

As much as I love the grand scale of giant tracks like Spa or the Nordschleife, fast cars at short tracks are always some of my favorite combos in this game, so Race B is where I'll be this week. For me at least, the Mustang is a surprisingly good car. I set a 51.6 with it in FP/qualifying last night, and have no doubt the Porsche would be quicker, but in the race the Mustang has no problems keeping up with the leaders. I haven't won a race yet, but I've had two 2nd places with. It's a bit sketchy at the 2 fast right-handers on Lap 1 with the cold tires (would it have killed them to use Mediums instead?), but it feels pretty good once the tires are warmed up.

Talnz167. I doubt we're on the same races as I am in the States so we're not in the same region. I think I have to mess with my settings to allow friend requests but I either forget or am too lazy*. I'll look you up next time I am on.

*I made it like that origionally because when I was playing CoD on PS3/PS4 I got tired of random people sending me friend requests out of the blue.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Beat It

The latest set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races is now available, giving players a new trio of events running across the next week...
Was the Michael Jackson reference intentional?

Liking the B race, ran one race and finished 3rd. The track this week, while lacking overtake opportunities, weeds out the less prepared drivers, haha.

Patience really pays off in those races, guys chasing the last three tenths are often binning it.
For whatever reason I’m my first two or three races I was crashing into the wall at the last turn on the last lap! There was no need to pick up time as I was heading into the last straight bit for whatever reason I was pushing it too hard those first races and losing control, but only at the end. I did see a trace of red on one tire, so I wonder if there was some wear effect because I was pushing the tires so hard.

I still can’t find the optimal path on turn 1 though. . . .

What I was doing was braking right around the 200m mark, then reducing brake pressure to trail-brake into T1. It's a very slow turn, at the apex you'll be at about 45 mph/72 kph. And then the rest of it is a pretty easy corner exit.

Trying to find the right apex is the hard part. There are several options and I can’t decide on which one works best. I’m following several quicker drivers and they all take different lines, which all somehow seem better than mine!
The issue with T1 is this evil little bump RIGHT on the exit, so you gas it up, hit the bump, the rear gets light and around you go. It's subtle, you cannot see it but it is there.
I noticed! Just when I think I found the perfect line I gas it and end up in the rail!
