Don't encourage him!

🤣

Edit:

They have definitely tightened the track limits from Monday. The ghost I'm following can basically kiss the crowd in the Mercedes arena and my slightly pushing wide but in a tighter track line gets a penalty!? What!
Yep, if you notice, as I exit the 180° right-hander at the end of Sector 1, I let off the gas slightly to get at least one tire on the inside part of the track because as of today, if all 4 are on the outside, it's a penalty!

That's where I have been getting caught 🙈🙈 I was doing QT laps last night and couldn't understand why I was picking up penalties, it never used to be like that???

The margins were definitely changed then as the ghost I'm following can run 4 wheels on the grass to exit and when I was doing QT I was definitely cutting the track lines hard as you point out.

Will go again tomorrow as I don't think that's where I'm losing the most time but losing the most laps....separate note but PD please just invalidate the lap the penalties ruin 2 laps and it's annoying!

Also thank you @TechnoIsLove thst track limit makes sense to the pens I am getting today vs yesterday when I was using the concrete grass sub base

Very very well said 🍷🍷🍷

We must make hay while the sunshine's!

I'm hoping that more of the curve balls get thrown in like the grid start for Gr3 in C and holding back uploading the races on the Friday (although I suspect this is more a post Xmas new update thing rather than the norm which will resume
Grid starts should be the norm, only exceptions being for a proper endurance race which we obviously are not allowed for some reason

My first visit ( 1 hour of practice) at RBR with the Supra got me at '29.1 with an ideal of 1 good sec lower. A lot of "by an half pixel limit's" penalties in last sector and nowhere near a good place in turn 3. So I've a lot to improve before even think to start racing, especially if I can't constantly complete at least 5 clean laps in a row without penalties.

They don't do grid starts for a few reasons in endurance racing, mostly because it's mix classed and secondly it's endurance racing so starting position is pretty much pointless when you have multiple pit stops and driver changes. It's a very different thing to 10 min and 20 min sprint races

Well, after a couple of races in Races B C, my SR has plummetted from S to B (again). I've come to realise the only way to enjoy daily races and preserve your SR is to qualify up the front. Improved my qualifying time at the Nurbirgring this morning, qualified 4th and finished 3rd. No ramming, no aggressive blocking, just fast, clean racing.

It's a shame, because I like the idea of starting at the back and working my way through the field, but too many people just don't know how to race and/or can't contain their frustration when they get passed by someone faster than them.

Seeing as the Red Bull Ring is back I'll be there all week. I set a quick time of 1:29.094 and I cannot find that tenth of a second to get a 1:28.XXX. I'll get it at some point. I did 2 races tonight and both were a disaster class for me. I also cannot do a standing start as I lift my foot off of the loud pedal as soon as I release the e-brake. So, that makes a mess as we all enter turn 1. Also a lot of lunges tried by everyone at every corner. I'll do more tomorrow and I try my best.

I'm really struggling for pace in C maybe it's just doing so much Gr4 recently the Gr3 isn't gelling (probably try Harding to much).

I might have to reset mentally a bit for those cars again.

Obviously I'm struggling for pace in B if @TechnoIsLove can be faster.

We ignore Nebu's times because he is 7ft 2" tall and comes from another planet!
Which car are you running?

I tried the 650S on my first attempt and might as well have been in reverse! GT-R was better on the second attempt, but still plenty of time to be found

Really enjoying the karts, lots of fun and great replays. So after all this work getting used to a wheel I finally have had a.....decent actual race! I wasn't particularly quick but lots of poaition changes and jostling about, first time on the wheel I felt I properly raced. Here's the replay, quality is abysmal, getting horrible wash out I can't get on top of.

Another Race C, another rear end by some amateur starting at the back of the grid trying to win the race on the first corner.

I think I'm going to finally give iRacing a crack. They need to put an age limit on races or something, this is ridiculous
