Gran Turismo Sports...

This name has become more prominent over the past few days, should it be real I'm going to presume its a spin-off style game that will capitalise on the FIA announcement a few months back among other things motorsport related.

Rumours of GT7 have been shot down, it won't happen. I think what we should do is turn our attention to whether PD will be at E3 at all, I'm not sure what the stance on that is right now. Thinking about it, if it was just a small game like Prologue or a PlayStation Store demo such as GT HD, it could probably be announced by Sony themselves.

I personally don't think they would demonstrate the G29 with Driveclub, the game is arcade based and is way better with a controller. I doubt they could do a good job in demonstrating the connection between the wheel and the physics.

at least someone is (pre) excited

I don't think we can expect Jean Todt to make a presence at E3. Or maybe that's the reason why the Translator San is not there :odd:. Kaz & Jean are going to drop the bomb for "Gran Turismo Sport Officially Approved by FIA" @ E3 by themselves:P

Maybe Gran Turismo Sports is a reboot for the franchise, a way to make the ultimate Gran Turismo that Kazunori has always wanted to make. A game build with the fans in mind. We could see authentic car sounds, real life body kits, lots of new manufactures, a FIA approved career mode with official rules, full body damage and a lot of new tracks. This could be a way to erase the bad tastes of GT5 and GT6, a new beginning.

Gran Turismo Sports is obviously GT Academy with a different name. :sly:

Please do not take this literally... But yeah. I hope people aren't taking that site (that has a fake GT name and cover art) for truth.

^This ^ Hope its this.

I really hope it's not a game that is just focused on the racecars... The thing I most like about Gran Turismo is driving the "normal" cars and tuning them up.

This, not to mention the market for simulations which an emphasis on race cars games is getting crowded already. We already have Project CARS and Assetto Corsa following next year, do we really need another game which follows that style?

The only way GT Sport would have a USP is if it included Rallying, unsure how likely that is at this stage.

Gran Turismo Sports maybe it's open world as Forza Horizon.

I'd prefer this idea.

I'll be amazed if it turns out to be a GT full on motorsports. Amazed and quite happy, I must say.

It would be a complete trolling move if PDI announced Tourist Trophy 2 instead. Is it likely? Not even, but the idea comes to mind.

Arthur tapdancing Conan Doyle... No wonder Kazunori keeps upsetting you guys.

In the plainest of plain English... whatever the next Gran Turismo title will be eventually called, we are not expecting any information on it to appear at E3 this year.

That doesn't mean it absolutely won't be mentioned - a very well-connected fansite we may be, but a fansite is all we are and we are not privy to Sony's show preparations. It just means that while we would normally be informed to expect something, we haven't been this time. That leads us not to expect something.

We're not lying or being coy. That is how it is.

I won't be watching the Sony stream on this basis.

fair enough

The blame can't all be down to the community, the lack of public relations PD has with its users got us to this stage. The Q&A idea never really took off, so how are we expected to gain answers to certain hints over the web?

The only thing we can do is anticipate what we can expect to be announced next week based on investigations, and we are aware E3 tends to have some surprises in store.
