"GT7 - I have it from a strong source that GT7 is both coming, and scheduled for this holiday season. I'm including this here because of all the things this admittedly very strong sources have told me, this is the most believable. If its true, this is going to be announced at E3, without a doubt."

I hope this is true. I'm ready.

Those GTHD reveal videos were disappointing to be honest, even back then when I first saw them. They in no way shape or form indicated what GT5&6 ended up looking like. GT5&6 even almost ran at full 1080p while still doing much more technically than just pushing ps2 graphics in high-res. Seemed more like Sony wanted Polyphony to show something but they didn't have a new graphics engine ready so they just put something together with GT4.

Source pleeeaaseee

Gimme dat source.

Link? Source?

Need facts and sources to back up claims.
You can find sources for just about anything but there is no official word from any PD/Sony rep on the game so take anything you hear/read with a huge grain of salt. Like the size of the Rock of Gibraltar. This for instance:sly::

Gran Turismo 7 Delayed until 2017!

and this:

Gran Turismo Release pushed back to 2017

Numerous fans have waited since 2014 for a game to beat out Gran Turismo 6's graphics and gameplay. However, the franchise creator has explained the delay, saying that they are still in the process of making the title and won't be able to release a new game this year. As it stands, Gran Turismo 7 is projected to be out on the market in 2017.

Of course when you dig in a little, you find no new quotes and just the same old recycled information that's already been reported on GTPlanet.

Nobody knows until PD drops the curtain but one thing for sure I reckon GT7 to capture the magic of the ps1/p2 era. GT7 will be the best one.
GT1 and 2 was groundbreaking, in large part because there was nothing even close to it on console. Many, many games have been released since then that have far exceeded GT in just about every single aspect of the game, the only trophy PD can claim at this point is car count. In just about every other aspect of driving/racing simulations they are miles behind. The best GT7 will be able to do is combine the best elements of games that are already far, far ahead in the simulation aspect of driving and racing. If they can pull together the offline career of PCars, the physics of Assetto Corsa, the online racing of iRacing, a livery editor and a more modern and eclectic car list like Forza, then they might have something groundbreaking. GT being what is is though, all they really need to do is make it look pretty, add 100+ cars and some FIA tracks, juice up the physics and sounds a bit and fans will flock to the game.

....This past week's IGN Gamescoop talked about this year's Sony E3 conference, and the possible line up of games we might see. GT7 did get a brief mention there...I mean, really brief.

Even they aknowledge that GT series has been in decline compared to its contemporaries...and this is IGN I'm talking about, man. A freakin' IGN!! :boggled:

I think Sony would like GT7 to launch with Morpheus in Q1 2016. But that is a bit of a long wait, PD have said there won't be a prologue of GT7, so that could leave us with a free demo on the PS4 to keep us going until a full retail launch, perhaps a summer time demo download.
I would hope they actually bring out GT7 to release by November 2015. I want to play it asap, and wait for the VR version when it's ready.
There should be some significant announcement concerning GT7 at E3.

>taking anything from an IGN "What we might see at E3"

Well... There's your problem.

Yes I know that when you type in 'Gran Turismo 7' into Google, you get a whole bunch of recycled news that has been compiled by a little known newspaper to make it look like they've got an exclusive when it's really just clickbait. But that doesn't stop you from not including a link to a source when you present information that may or may not be new. We all want a source here because we can then judge the validity of his statement by looking at the source and determine if it's valid or not. :)

For what it's worth, I did try googling the exact quotes we are talking about, which usually works to find a source, and nothing came up.

He's probably one of those people who claim to have 'connections' to make themselves look more important, but actually don't have those said 'connections'.

GT series is not anymore what once was promised to be. My first GT was the GT5 and when I bought the GT6 I realised that it's game over. Another release just for making some more money. I sold my PS3 whit GT6 and since then I'm driving the Assetto Corsa brilliant...

I think that only @Jordan can tell us if GT7 will be presented at E3 or not....

If he doesn't tell us there is a chance :D

but with no Gamescom, Sony would probably all but certainly announce GT7 at E3 (doubt they'llwait for Paris or TGS)

the only reason they may not show it, is that they have a lot of other stuff to show, Guerrila's RPG for next year and Sony bend's and not to forget MM's game which is probably a shoe in also. Will they show that many IPs in one show?

forgot about PSX too
