I’m keeping expectations low but surely even Kaz must know he’s potentially setting himself up for a lot of heat by releasing the update information this way

For clarity, we're only seeing the contents of 1.49 tomorrow (and I'd expect it'll be only the content, rather than the nitty gritty of the patch notes - any new races, Menu Books, engine swaps, etc). The actual date of the update is unknown, though we may find that out tomorrow too.

Yes i think 5 cars is more likely but still excited to see what pd reveal tomorrow.Of course I’m joking with that post, but there’s no way even with my daydreaming, would I think a car list over Spec II will happen again. I’m not even hoping for that many cars in one update. Seriously. It would be amazing for many if we did though.
I still stand by my initial prediction:
My other posts are more of cars it would be logical to add with the little info we saw during last month. We know PD don’t work that way.

It would be extremely disappointing if hyped up update with a reveal at a big event ended up being the standard 3-car, 3-race dripfeed we've been getting so far. That being said, PD's approach to updates continues to discover new lows, so who knows.

I understand that some people prefer „safe” predictions and every time they expect the worst, but there were big updates in gt7 history there were tracks added, expecting only the worst isn’t good either. I am very positive becaus both Famine and TheAdmiester hinted info about nice cars in update.

1.49 coming but would only contain a couple of cars

Could make sense that a 1.50 is a very big update but during all the time they haven’t announced a single update such a long time before it’s released.
Furthermore there wasn’t a June Update.

Genesis have gone big on the Goodwood Festival of Speed as an announcement platform recently, they've unveiled a raft of concepts there the last couple of years. The brand just has a billion concept cars in general.
