my predictions:

  • 3 new cars, all VGTs, all slight variations on existing VGTs
  • split screen is removed
  • all LCD prices increased by 50%
  • new AI is introduced that is more aggressive and will randomly get mario kart blue shells (the player doesn't get shells, though)
  • game servers are moved to raspberry pi units hosted over dialup in north korea
  • you can sell cars... for 1CR each, no matter the original price.
  • new partnership with Lada including a branded racing wheel set, a full collection of new cars, menus, and a "muddy battlefield rally" track
  • Pike's Peak is added... as a scape, not an actual track.

My reading of Nenkai’s post is ‘working on’ means they’re testing cars in-game or elements are in-game. Correct me if I’m wrong. Rather than just being part of a datamine text-file.

This is also the wording (or very similar) used when he’s discussed the original track that’s coming.

^^ this tweet and Nenkai's other replies there do not sound very encouraging.
Indeed, i see now "gamechanger".

As it seems, the base will stay as it is.

The next three years can get very boring.

What is so difficult to include for example more multiplayer game modes.

Every week the same thing, only other regulations and tracks. That sucks.
Forza 7 had interesting ideas like a trackfield.
Why not GT?

.)...more new cars, because Lotus is added

.)all cars available in UCD and Haggertys with collector level 50(?)
.)all lobby issues solved...

Nenkai’s recent tweets have referenced some highly requested cars being worked on. An original track (I assume a returning classic) almost ready. The selling cars feature being complete and more in-depth than expected. Plus work likely related to PSVR2 and demo kiosks.

Oh, and Sophy Missions coming. Not sure if he’s mentioned anything else. From PD themselves I think Endurances races where referenced. But can’t remember where that was posted.

I really hope PD is planning on doing something along the lines of GT5 Spec II where the game receives a complete overhaul in career mode and events + more than 3 cars a month. That's one of the only somewhat justifiable ways they can explain the barebones updates we have been receiving so far.

-Another VGT car
-Some electric car
-No modern race cars or road cars, that are not electric
-Some variation of a car that already exist in the game
-No selling of cars
-More than likely a Nissan or Toyota of the three added cars
-More Physics changes
-No new track, but a variation of a existing track
-Some minor changes to menus
-fixes to bugs that where created in this latest update

As longtime fans of GT, it's very clear now things won't change. It's just a waste of time to think why not more events, more communication... This is Poly. The studio is free to live in a bubble. We are free to move on. Not buying this game is my only answer.

I'm not much of a social media guy, but this Nenkai person is like a politician. Talks alot, says little.

As they say in Texas, "all hat, no cattle".

My 2 cents.
I feel like the reasons would be pretty obvious, though.
The source of that information is not exactly insensitive, let alone the fact that I even have access to it.

Their release schedule is painfully slow as everyone should know, and the timeframe for content release is pretty much roulette-like.
My claims may aswell not come true until half a year if not more, nonetheless they're ongoing works based on internal findings.

The Escudo was one of those cars I've hinted towards before, and certainly didn't expect to come this early.
I've also made one of those tweets before regarding upcoming beloved cars being worked on a few months ago, and this particular tweet refers to more of those.

Can you say, which track you have read out in your research they are working on?
And when not, can you give a tip?
Many thanks!

I've hinted that it was an original track before.

Otherwise, I will never be explicit, as it is more than sensitive data as proved by takedowns concerning the Catalunya layouts videos, regardless of the forums or admins questionably allowing that information to flow while claiming that PDI checks these forums, which feels backwards to me.

Nenkai is unlikely to be a sentient being, chances they thought up some conceptual name using japanese sounding words and is no more than a corporate account where some junior marketing analysts are instructed to post promising and vague statements to 'keep the faith' going...

Sony operate as low as the sewer these days to make a quick buck

If he were to just straight up tell everyone what was being developed, you can bet that the data being looked at will be scrubbed very quickly, and keeping that data private is development time that PD very clearly should be spending on the actual game.

We're lucky he even discloses what he does. He has no reason to. The snippets of content he does show however are the only thing even close to a roadmap that we'll get for this game. I choose to be grateful for that instead of pushing for more.

^ ... Here we see even ghost social media accounts have their followers

Any proof you aren't just a Microsoft AI trying to drum up criticism for the game then?

You make a lot of claims about the games physics that are demonstrably false, after all... could be trying to drive players to Forza.

Not buying the next game is the more approriate answer, I think.

I'm not much of a social media guy,
Well, that sums it up.

A boycott would only work if the scale of disappointment and frustration of GT7 goes beyond this forum.

For the hundreds of so active members here, I fear there are thousands and thousands of casual gamers and kids out there who are completely oblivious to the shortcomings of the driving simulator, they just want to drive & crash out a Ferrari or an electric race car in glossy 4K and will happily pay £60-£70 for that bit of entertainment.

The disappointment goes beyond this forum, I can assure you that. This update has made GT7 a joke even to a lot of people more than ever.

Sadly this applies to other franchises as well (BF I'm looking at you). Do some fixes, drop some skins and move on to next title - ppl will buy it again and again and again.
At this point I only hope Forza 8 will be good.

As pointed out, this isn't the only place where people are complaining - /r/GT and racing/GT YouTubers also complain. What do you want next? A GTWS player strike? PD's workplace issues made public?
