I looked at the Porsche VGT in the dealership - they literally just deleted the roof polygons from the other one. They've done the same thing on other VGT cars as well, just make another version without a roof. That's some nerve releasing that as one of the 3 cars.
I feel bad for the people at PD that work hard on this game while the management runs the franchise into the ground.

Something that either does one of two things or maybe both of these things: upset people and or disappoint people 🤣

I go back to play only if there is some kind of ticket exploit, I played last Saturday and after half an hour I was bored ...
This is exactly how I (and probably many on this forum) feel. FFS, I find Kena, bridge of spirits and replaying Deathloop much more absorbing experiences.

I feel the same. Other than the Time Trial thing... which is only ONCE EVERY TWO DAMN WEEKS, there's nothing else for me to do.

This game couldn't have been more off-putting to the casual player even if it tried.

November 9th can't come soon.

More of the same to be honest:
  • 3 new cars
  • a range of small fixes
  • maybe 1 or 2 new scapes
  • a new menu book
  • a few additional races

Remember when they teased a new track in a different way for GT Sport? It just happened once with Circuit de Sainte-Croix if I recall correctly, but it would be nice to see something like this again to build some extra hype and try to break the boring monotony with the update announcements. PD should definitely tease Apricot Hill, Grand Valley, or whatever this new original track is like that:

I would love to see an old track return - Apricot Hill and Grand Valley are classics. Seattle, Midfield, Super Speedway or Tokyo R246 would all be welcomed by the community. :)

I was (probably) right about the 2 Hagerty's cars...assuming the Maserati joins the older Nissan there, but I'm glad that we don't have yet another VGT. We'll see about the rest, especially considering this one's going to drop a week early.

Is the Merak really that legendary?

It'll be in the used car dealership for < 10,000cr and blows up the first time the engine is serviced.
I hope the sound is good. I really like how it sounds in real life, wonder if this car had audio captured after Mike left? If so, we’ll find out if they’ve kept with his methodology or similar to record high quality audio.

Worst case scenario, they can fall back on the AES system from GT6. It seemed promising, maybe not the best audio possible, but it wasn’t bad, the LM55 used it and sounded noticeably more alive than anything else in the game (besides other AES cars, if there were, I forget), or at the very least, higher quality.

My prediction, apart from the cars.
Engine Swaps:
  • RB26DETT on Hakosuka GT-R (maybe on Kenmeri too) and/or Z S30s or S14 Silvia
  • Yaris GR on AE86 (done in real life by Daddy Motor Works)
Menus:
  • Classic Skyline GT-R (collect a Hakosuka, Kenmeri and R32) or
  • Nissan S20 glory (collect a Hakosuka, Kenmeri and Z432)
  • Japan Gr2 Championship (both from 2008 and 2016)
  • Classic Open wheel championship (for Mp4/4 and F1500TA)
A track (no idea of which one)

I bet they are saving the good stuff for a big xmas patch(GRRRRRR) no amount of "free" cars can improve the game for me.

Definitely predicting a new racing venue this time. But I think it’s anybody’s guess on whether it’ll be entirely new to GT like Watkins Glen, or a returning venue like Silverstone, Apricot Hill, or Ascari. That said, I’ve usually felt that Apricot Hill would require very minimal changes to make it better for online racing, so if that’s our venue, I’d be very much OK with that.

We also could use more events at Mt. Panorama. I think there’s only one at the moment, but I think it’d be perfect for a WTC 800 round. Heck, I’d probably throw in a WTC 700 round at that venue, too, and also an additional round of the Nissan GT-R Cup.

Then there are the missions. We haven’t had a new set of them in a while, it seems. Plus, the last drag race mission implies that there are more drag races to come.

It’s not even disappointment for me anymore.

I’m indifferent to this whole game. It has just become another AAA forgettable title in a beloved franchise that is now dead.

The constant hope of seeing it reach its full potential only to continually wonder “why the ** did they do that" has killed it for me. I mean why the ** would you spend the time to make the prettiest graphics of any console racer and couple it with realistic driving physics on both controller and wheel, to then do what PD have done? The mind boggles.

It really does.

I’m done getting annoyed about GT. I’m done.
It seems they're really pushing certain titles in the PS5 anyway. AAA titles are all getting launch edition Steelbooks, feeling, etc. It used to be that was the exception, now it's "pay us $90 twice a month if you want all the special stuff for these crappy games and then pay us $20 a week per game for DLC."
This is why I much prefer classic gaming. I think there are maybe one or two 2600 titles with add on stuff, if any. A few had competitions you could enter and puzzles you could solve and send in answers to (Solar Fix, Blueprint, etc.). Probably the one with the best example of post release content was Miner 2049er; all releases had one or two follow up cartridges or disks but you could also play those without the original game.

Satirical prediction: Mt. Panorama will be released as the "new" track. The change will be the addition of the availability of rain weather to reflect recent events. Anyone for "Thick Cloud with Torrential Rain"?

Or the new variant can be Conrod Straight no chi…err, the Chase.
