GT7 Online races pulling my hair out

If your conclusion is that only the console or game has an issue, and that you are unwilling to consider any deficiencies on your own end, then if you genuinely want assistance then you will post a video of said issue and no more. Until then there is nothing that can be diagnosed.

If my understanding is correct, your child can reset the PS5, delete the local save data, reinstall GT7 all they want and your game progress will still be there the next time you start up the game, as your game progress is saved online and beyond the reach of your child or even yourself. As such, if you have time to post here then you have time to just jump in and save/share a quick video for us to help you with. No, you do not have to redo menus or wait until next week.

For additional context, you are not the first and you will likely not be the last to claim the game is at fault. There have been numerous examples in the past of similar complaints from other users claiming to be capable of world record times only to never be addressed with a video of their gameplay, so you will indeed have to understand that there is a relatively large amount of skepticism here.
If your work is keeping you so busy then by all means prioritize that. But if you have both the time and mental capacity to raise grievances on a video game forum all while rejecting self critique then I humbly ask that you spend that time instead showing us your lap so we can help diagnose your issue. What is most testing for me personally is people coming up with excuses NOT to post their lap (Ex: not enough time, too much work, kids, spouse, controller/internet/hardware issues, etc. etc.) all while making what I feel to be unreasonable claims, and then finally disappearing without a trace (and without posting a lap). I’m hoping whatever you post next will show us your own lap.

Stop responding to nonsense.

Polyphony Digital. The developer. Sony are the Publisher and aren't involved the the development of the game.

This is why some people think you're trolling. You can't have missed the number of times you've been corrected on this.

I can't recall me saying one wrong word to anyone here,

But no matter just to give you the benefit I'm thankful for the posts you've made already,

I've joined to gain knowledge and I had this idea that maybe there was room for private races here.

I have no idea what's going on here.
But i generally don't and stop replying or don't respond at all when there's posts that are contentious.

I'm giving you this benefit only because I feel sorry that your listening to such advice, as I had you down for a helpful friend 😊

I have no idea what message you want me to click on.

Entertaining thread. Bit sloppy but here's a 32.9 - the CE gold time is extremely generous, not hard at all.

Nice 🙂

May I ask what you accomplished this with ps5 or pc , controller or wheel it looks like a wheel and clutch but now I'm not sure with the info I'm giving here

On circuit experience is the clutch disabled to as I can't find out untill the weekend, my only other friend I have who has a ps5 is now on his way to china for 5 days,

It's on wheel, PS5. I am not using the clutch as the car has a sequential gearbox - the car is engaging the clutch on its own.
Clutch is only disabled in Sport Mode, it is enabled and usable everywhere else when needed.

Yes I have a VR, no that is not done in VR as I am slower in VR (not used to it yet).

Here is a 1:32.6 on controller.

I hope I can match that soon.

As I have 5 days left to send my Logitech G pro back,.which I'm seriously considering, may I ask what wheel and pedals you have 😊

I bought the G pro because of it's wireless function but I started getting inconsistent tracking in wireless mode.

It's now got me in fear of using it, which is no good for me, I can't have anything effecting my concentration, so I may be switching to another wheel soon.

I have a Thrustmaster TGT-2 with the TLCM pedals.
I promise you your wheel is nothing to do with it.

I have to say that is a fine wheel and pedals and I miss mine the wheel it's self was such quality compared to the DD pro crap one I now have.

I also prefer the T-LCMs to the boggo CSL (with loadcell) ones I have now. If only the base had had a fraction more torque I wouldn't have got to Fanatec.

Yeah I love it, serves me well wherever I go with it. I've considered going DD whenever it dies but I play on a desk and I don't really think there's a happy ending when mounting a DD to a desk.

You'd be surprised the DD isn't that torque heavy just more consistent in the torque and a fraction quicker to spike at peak torque.

It should be fine on a sturdy desk and you can more than use one on a playseat challenge (or ironing board if you are really in a pinch ;) )

Lack of desire for me with a rig - I had one when I started off sim racing back in 2014 or so but I wasn't a fan of the space it took up and the clunkiness it added to the whole "hop on/off and play" so I got rid of it. Same goes for all of that type of stuff, I like just having the wheel on my desk and taking up no more room than that.

I've been eyeing up the new Thrustmaster DD wheel provided I could use it on the desk but that's mostly for the rims and QR2 system, the one criticism I have about my wheel (and old TM in general) is that their Quick Release is absolutely not quick and barely a 'release' considering I have to bloody manually unscrew it myself!

I can understand that and I have a sleigh type rig that slots neatly at the end of the box room/office room so doesn't hit the space that much as it's fairly dead space anyway. Much nicer than dragging my playseat out in the front room and the looks from the wife when I just dragged it out of the way to watch TV 🤣

I mean with the TGTs TM definitely stretched the meaning of quick release 🤣

The new TM DD drive is suppose to be quite nice especially for the price but the base is really really tall so just something to consider when on a standard desk height. Obviously in VR that doesn't matter but in my current config it would obscure the digital rev counter for me.
