Great idea! makes perfect sense. For longer FIA races in the past (which we haven’t had in a while) I have zip-tied a camelback bladder to the back of my seat, and ran the hose over my shoulder.
Works good

For the Pro at least, it's now.Who thinks it's very likely we see absolutely nothing for PSVR2/ PS5 Pro in this update? I'm hoping we do, but not going to be surprised if we don't!
BTW you need a bottle like this for drinks.. works great with VR. Just keep it at arms reach somewhere and you don't need to see anything to take a drink.
I'd keep open containers far away while you're in VR LOL.
I've had one of these for something like 20 years.

I dearly hope PSVR2 improvements are here, but they only mention the ray-traced reflections in the post. (this can mean nothing much as there's also an 8K mode not mentioned, so VR still has a chance)
This is my nr1 in GT7 i hate that in most cars iam sitting to low and to far backI had not thought about this before, but the ability to save seating position (height and distance) in the car settings (in garage or pre-race and for that to default) would be phenomenal.
・Enhanced rendering quality in VR Mode.
・Smoother video playback in VR Mode, achieved through the VR Positional Reprojection function.
So I've played for a bit offline with the update on PS5 Pro. Did a few laps in VR around the Switzerland track because I found that the reprojection was always very jarring on that track. I found no real difference, maybe a bit sharper. I then did a few laps on flat screen and could see my red car reflected in the other cars with the new ray tracing, it looks cool, but really not that impressive. Then I saw the posts above about Display settings of VR Positional Reprojection and turned it on. Went back to Eiger Nordwand and can confirm it definitely makes the experience smoother. Not sure the technicalities, but my best test for the reprojection is looking sideways at the people. Before, it was like being drunk and you saw 2 of them, with the VR Positional setting on that is eliminated. I then did some laps around the Nurburg and definitely noticed the smoothness and also that there has been an increase in resolution I think. Unfortunately the VR Positional Setting introduces some jarring visual problems. Things like the tops of trees and mountains in the distance look unstable and glitchy to me. It's not completely horrible, but it needs to be fixed. Otherwise I can 100% say that it has been improved, no placebo claims this time. Just hope they iron out the visual glitches in time
To my eyes it seems like there has been a slight resolution bump overall, nothing major though, so everything appears a bit sharper. I checked those signs, they still seem a bit blurry. Really the worst thing to me is the visual problems with the distant trees and other things that this new setting has introduced. Tried it on several tracks they all have this shimmering instability in the distance. It's hard to ignore to be honest. Are objects still blurry in the distance? Such as the “meter markers” before turns?

Did you turn the positional reprojection setting on?I tried music rally but still see reprojection ghosting if you look to the side.
I did not see any ray traced reflections that I could notice in VR.
The dash looks sharper.
On the two tracks I tried I got new distance records!

Wait, I have to enable this somewhere?
So what happens with the cars that don't have cockpit view?
Is it just bumper cam?
Is that view weird in VR?
Ah so best to avoid them. The camera is placed on the roof. It’s weird.

No. I did not know that at the time. Given up for now and gone to bed. I’ll read the reports in the morning.Did you turn the positional reprojection setting on?
You have to go to the world map and access the settings from there.

I read similar reports relating to the PSSR introducing artifacts and shimmering as well. We know that there were PSSR issues with VR which is why we’re not getting it yet, but this makes me wonder if this might be a fundamental issue with the Pro graphics engine/AI ?Really the worst thing to me is the visual problems with the distant trees and other things that this new setting has introduced. It's a fundamental problem with upscaling in general. VR only makes it worse because there's no fixed point of view with it on, the camera is your head and your head is always moving.I read similar reports relating to the PSSR introducing artifacts and shimmering as well. Any particular spot you are wondering about? Going to be doing some testing in VR soon. Are objects still blurry in the distance? Such as the “meter markers” before turns?
Looking forward to see some video guides on how much better Vr2 will be with this update.
Definitely will buy a PS5 pro if we can have the same visuals on vr2 as we have on flat screen, but I would be surprised if we do.
This update has improved everything pretty significantly in VR on the Pro. It's not realistic to expect visual parity with the flat screen, as the VR is essentially running two versions of the game at once. I am very impressed with what they have done, minor visual glitches aside. To me, even the colours seem more vibrant now. Just drove midnight on Le Mans and it was really striking, the vibrancy, clarity and smoothness, seemed like less pop in too. But definitely wait and see some better analysis on the subject, I'm sure most would agree with me though.Looking forward to see some video guides on how much better Vr2 will be with this update.
