hello there. i created my own number plate. converted it to svg but i keep getting errors while uploading. could you please convert it for me? thanks in advance

German plates are a horrific pain compared to other countries. As @Nuschel01 has said, a lot of assembly is required. Thankfully the community has provided the most difficult bits, namely the TÜV and the cities' coat of arms.

I made a base for you to build upon, hope it helps.

Let's see, first, you have to get the font. That's the easy part. Then you have to size the numbers and alphabets separately because they use different dimensions. Then you have to find out which city you're making a plate for, and deal with the city's coat of arms, many of which would be a pain to squeeze under 15kB on their own. Then you have to colour correspond the TÜV and update it every two years to make your car not look awkward.

Urgh. I really hate doing German plates. I learned how to do them once and thought, "sod it, I'll just make a Singaporean plate instead" when the car comes with the single line plates.

Compare and contrast this to a Britain plate, which can be as simple as finding the font, typing in gibberish, and you'd be good to go. Once you understand Japanese plates, there are a few online generators that you can trace from. US plates are easy if you're willing to use vanity plates. German plates? I've had easier time with IKEA furniture.

Anyway, sorry for the off topic rant, but if you happen to have any easier ways to make German plates...

If the person who made the decal was smart enough they set the SVG boundaries the same for all characters, then it's just a matter of duplicate/replace.

Thought those are so small you don't really need to bother with getting the exact same one. State (16 different ones) would be fine.

Then you have to colour correspond the TÜV

There's only a limited amount of colors, again the number on it would make it so small it doesn't matter.

Once you understand Japanese plates...

A lot of people struggle with that

...there are a few online generators that you can trace from.

I use individual decals and an alignment help.

hmm weird, the order of sqaures when i opened the file was small, big, medium. So to me the medium one looked redundand and I removed it.
