Hi Guys, a question. Today I race in World Series 2025 - Exhibition 2 - Round 4 (GT3 class) - Formula SF23 (screen below)
I did no Pit Stop during the race but as you can see on the screen from the race rules there was no Minimum Number of Pit Stops.
I did not hit anyone and did not get any slow-downs for penalty. Nothing.

I've finished 3rd.

But, somehow I get 2 MINUTES of penalty. I have no idea why?

Could anyone would explain this? What could be the reason of getting 2 MINUTES of penalty?

Perhaps a mandatory tyre swap that you missed?

Thanks guys! That could be it. But could you tell me where such information can be found so I could be aware in the next races ? I'm unable to find it anywhere.
If I remember correctly, if you scrolled up the information in your image you would’ve seen a Regulations section that shows useable tires and required tires.

It's:

  • In the main race overview, at the top but below number of laps, number of cars, start type, what the required cars are, and what the available tyres are
  • Displayed in a blue box in the middle of the screen in the race lobby
  • Shown (by way of a flashing marker on the tyre you haven't yet used) when you pit. Which, on this occasion, you wouldn't have seen because you didn't pit
  • And in the first post of the GTPlanet main GTWS thread!

Here also you can easily see all rules..

They only write « mandatory pit stop « when there is one type of tyre only but they want you pit…then not changing tyres or adding fuel.
That's exactly as I mentioned at the beginning and on the screen below. "Required Tyre Type Change" = N/A. So there was no required tyre change. And Yes, I scrolled up/down the full screen (depicted on the right below) and there was no information at all regarding "require tyre change".

If the "Main Race Overview" is this on the screen below, I scrolled it up/down fully a few times before the race to be sure I know the rules. There as nothing about required tyre change there.

A question: Does anyone could paste a screen of where such information regarding "Required tyre change" is visible before the race starts like in the "Main Race Overview" so I could see it as I still cannot find such anywhere ?

You're waaaay too far down. Scroll to the top. It's the very next line after Useable Tyre & Types: Required Tyre Types. Here it is on the current Daily Race C:

"Required Tyre Type Change" = N/A. So there was no required tyre change.
There are, in effect, three different rules governing pitting.

  • Minimum Number of Pit Stops: When not set to zero, this requires you to enter and exit the pit lane on any racing lap (in other words, not before you reach the start line to begin lap one and not as you approach the finish line to end the final lap) the specified number of times. You are not required to change tyres or refuel at the same time.
  • Required Tyre Type: The listed tyres are required for use during any one racing lap (in other words, not before you reach the start line to begin lap one and not as you approach the finish line to end the final lap).
  • Required Tyre Type Change: This is not displayed on the main race overview and only appears in the Race Details page. It is different in that it lists two tyre types you must use in the same manner as above when multiple tyre grades are available and in combination with a mandatory pit stop. It may list two tyre types when there are two or three grades that are usable. I dislike this regulation intensely.

For this race "Required Tyre Type" was listed in the main race overview.

The Required Tyre Rule is not very intuitive.

Basically, the rule requires you to use ALL tyre compounds listed under ‘Required Tyre Type’. Not pick either one tyre compound or the other, use ALL tyres listed under ‘Required Tyre Type’ during the race.

For Nations Round 4, the Available Tyres are the RM and RS (and the two wet weather tyres), and the Required Tyres are also RM and RS, as highlighted by Talon16’s post above.

Therefore, you have to use RM and RS during the race.

Also, the game does not mention that Sport Mode prohibits mixing tyre compounds (i.e. you cannot set RS as the front tyres and RM as the rear tyres or vice versa). The game will stop you if you try to do that in Free Practice, Qualifying or before the Race.

Therefore, the ONLY way to use both RM and RS in a race is to do a pit stop and change tyres, REGARDLESS of the Minimum No. of Pit Stops requirement.

Ah ok, now it is finally clear.
So, statement "Required Tire Type" (if more than one specified) means in fact that "Tires Change is Required".
To me this is very confusing. I wouldn't guess that "Require Tire Type" means that I have to change the tires during the race.

Good that now its clear.

Thank you all for support and clarification!
