I don't see any IS except for the headlights. They even made it AWD.

Hmmm.

Yep, definitely IS300. And the Japan/Euro spec car (Altezza) was available with AWD.

I don't see it.

The grill, vented hood, tail lights and fender flares are clearly based off an Evolution/Lancer. Except for the headlights and roofline, it doesn't look like an IS much.

Also, the SA Sultan was an Impreza, so they are probably trying to keep with the rally theme. I doubt they would try to replica a japan only car, minus a few exceptions.

Well we all know these cars are very loosely based on their real counterparts anyway to avoid licensing issues, and they can add/remove whatever they want. Though as a longtime fan of the IS300/Altezza, when I see the Sultan in GTA5, all I see is that car.

To each their own I guess, it's an IS300 to me. :)

Wanted a Lampadi Felon pretty bad and thought I had to buy one online for 100k.... Turns out you can just steal one and it let's you keep it. Boo yah!

Lol I understand the jdm fanbase, and in previous GTAs I guess it looked like a Subaru but now it just looks like an IS300. Just curious I thought maybe there was some kind of hidden performance or something about it.

It's worth mentioning that the Sultan is arguably one of the best four door cars. It has all the grip you'd ever need and is very quick, which is helpful in online if you're doing a mission which would require that.

I've found the Felon and Jackal are two really good sedans. I don't know how much better the Sultan is but the few I mentioned before are pretty good

Use one in a race, after you finish go to free mode and they'll be spawned all over the place. I used this trick to get a few cars.

If only it worked with the sports classics...

Speaking of which, does anyone know how much it costs to insure the Z-Type online? (Yes, I am going to buy one. Yeehaw.)

Nothing. When you buy it, full coverage is included. 💡

As far as I know the max cap for full coverage is $10,000 anyway. Haven't seen a higher price at least.

On another note, does anyone know a car that has the sound of the Cheval Fugitive? Given all the reused sounds on exotics I'm surprised I still couldn't find the sample on another car.
Nothing wrong with the idea of a long wheelbase sedan sounding gorgeous and being fast, but compared to the Felon (Jag Quattroporte) and Jackal (err... Saab Insignia?) it looks awkwardly tall. The sound alone is almost worth it, if I had more garage space it'd be a no-brainer. :indiff:

To be honest the only thing that makes it close to an STi is the scooped bonnet that you can purchase. All other mods scream EVO, but the car is loosely based off the IS300. I modified mine to stay as close to the IS300 as I could.

Edit: Just messing around with the Zirconium Stratum, realized it's AWD. Which makes sense because although it loosely resembles a Honda Accord wagon, I see a lot of R32 Skyline bits in the design as well.

Yup, I always think of it as an R32 Shooting brake.

On the sultan I'm pretty sure its one of those double influence cars, Like the infernus is Lamborghini murcialago at the front and side while the rear is clearly a zonda. The sultan to me is Toyota altezza/Lexus I300 at the front and Mitsubishi lancer Evo inspired at the rear.

Make it even cooler the Zirconium Stratum has a Titanium Racing Exhaust :P.

And on the right side of the rear hatch, there's "2.5 Twin-Turbocharged" badging.
Lemme tell you, a fully-tuned Stratum outright destroys the Sedan class on Race mode.
Has anyone managed to find an Asea online? I made the idiotic decision of not picking it for my first car, and I'm deeply regretting it.

And my Crown Vic passes you still . I totally agree its the sexiest wagon. Some say it has a I6 TT from a Skyline :P.

Damn Cardboard Of Death.
That Crown Vic was crazy fast.
I looked under the hood after breaking it off and it definitely looks like an RB26DETT. Combined with AWD (it was RWD in GTA IV), it's clear they were leaning towards an "R32 Wagon" in terms of performance.
Edit: ZOMG Stratum in real life YO

I need one now :P. Time to sell my Merry weather rebel :P.

I finally got mine. After killing the same guy 3 times in a row an AI just passed by me driving the sultan, I had to end my killing spree and bring this baby to my garage.

Regarding the Sultan I'd always thought the overall body shape was closest to an Evo 6, as of course are the rear lights. It's only the front lights that really reminded me of the Lexus.

This and thanks Mr.Cardboardhater.

Ahh I was going to say. The Mesa is one of the most badass looking cars and is pretty off road-able. The Rebel is pretty embarrassing despite it's trophy truck styling
