Well, it depends. I've sold cocaine for about 760k in 2 sales so far. I've stolen all of my supplies, so that 760k is all profit. But to be sure to be able to complete the sale of a full stock, you shouldn't try to do it alone. I've made both my sales with the GTP'ers I regularly play with, so we've rarely been less than 5-6 people in my MC at the time. Not that you need to be that many, but it helps having a Hydra, a Savage and a Buzzard guarding your deliveries ;)
Getting supplies are easily done solo though.

I've upgraded my cocaine-business (the one just south of the Alamo Sea) for about 900k on 2 upgrades, and the staff-upgrade increased the value of a full stock with about 100-140k if you choose the longer delivery-routes.

About my crewrank being f:censored:d by my time/date private public lobby. That had to do with the fact that I forgot to change the date back to what it was supposed to be directly after everyone beeing disconnected.

Talk to @Flash_Sweden he has one I believe
I take too damn long writing my answers:lol:

Does anyone know if it's worth the hassle to buy a cocaine business for my MC? I've read on various forums that it can be a money earner, others say it's a grind. Has anyone here got any experience with it?

You can make money doing it; it just takes some time before break even. I believe you tend to solo everything much like I do, so here's the deal:

All the info below assumes you've purchased all the upgrades. I blew off the security upgrade for a bit, then broke down and purchased it after it became irksome dealing with raids every couple of hours. Now I don't get raided but every few days have to kill a snitch or something asinine and time consuming. That, and the Dark Lester calls are the main annoyance.

The business costs $75k to resupply a full load. This is what I do because unless you have a few people to help you'll have to make 4-5 resupply runs to fill the supply bar solo. That's often exceeding 45 minutes to do solo and you can make a lot more than $75k in 45 minutes doing other things, so I buy supplies and basically leave it earning money in the background.

A full supply level will produce 2.5 product bars(half full) which sells for $210k with the long distance option. This will provide two vehicles for you to deliver, and is entirely doable solo. It will take ~2.5 hours of gameplay to run down those supplies and fill 2.5 bars of product.

It takes two full supply loads to fill the product bar entirely, which will provide you with 3 vehicles to deliver(or 4 bikes). A lot of these missions with full product load will be difficult or impossible(PostOP van delivery) to complete solo. A full load pays $420k.

As such, what I would recommend soloing would be to purchase the $75k supplies, and when it's gone sell it for the $210k. This will provide a GP of $135k, then take off the cost of operating the business. For me it's $13,400 per day because I own two businesses(I keep the farm barren of supplies and low product just as a place to hang out), however for just one coke factory I'm not sure what your charge will be. I end up making about $110k after expenses for roughly 20 minutes spent delivering.

A few notes;

After a shut down(due to running out of supplies, etc) the business will take a few minutes to get running again and will burn a bar of supplies before producing product. As such, I try and catch it when the supplies are under 1 bar at which point I buy new supplies and do a sale mission. By the time I finish selling the supplies have arrived and production never ceases, saving that extra bar. If I miss it, I sometimes do a single 'steal supplies run' or just pay $15k for 1 bar of supplies if I'm lazy or busy doing other things. If you let the business suspend for a few minutes and then resupply, the supplies burned while the business 'gets up and running' again will leave you with $168k sale price instead of $210k. This is why I'll do a single supply run if that happens as it's two vehicles for $168k and $210k; so might as well take the $210 for the same hassle. Purchased supplies take ~10 minutes to arrive, so plan your purchases accordingly to prevent suspension of production. That's why I just show up every 2+ hours and resupply/sell at once, then I go and do CEO/VIP stuff or ride my bike or get drunk in Santa Monica. I bought the expensive factory so I had to do this a large number of times(25+) to break even. That is why my last writeup detailing the businesses carried a warning that this is something that you will have to stick with long term to generate a profit.

If you are going to do this with other folks helping, then stealing supplies makes more sense. For example, with 5 people you can often fill the supply bar in one 'steal' mission. However, I know that isn't an option for many.

For the millenials here(aka tl/dr);

Purchasing supplies at $75k will give you 2.5 bars of product which sells for $210k providing a net profit somewhere around $110-125k(varies depending on your other businesses and how much time you spent with MC active) for ~20 minutes of your time delivering solo.

An other fantastic reply. It's a lot to take in, I'll give it some thought. Thanks for the replies everyone

Yeah, I ramble; my apologies. In short, if you plan to do a sell missions every time you login it'll make you money over the long term. If you are going to do it once a week or so, it'll take you 6 months before you're turning a profit. I often leave it on with my character watching the telly while I'm round the house doing other things, and that allows me to sometimes complete 2-3 sales a day even when I'm not actively playing the game. I broke even in a few weeks, and have turned a profit round $6mil so far.

This was largely discredited at first but it seem is may be accurate after all.
Yan2295 tweeted about it after it was posted on GTAF

I will join you in said Tron goodness, but I'll probably just queue up the entire soundtrack lol. Can't decide if I plan to go Clu orange or Flynn white or grid blue for my bike lol

This is the real struggle right here. Mine will probably end up being purple-magenta at some point. :P

If you haven't bought any of the businesses yet, you might as well buy this one. If you want maximum profit at all times then it'll probably be a hassle, but you can still make a decent profit if you buy supplies.

This is a bike that actually would look good on chrome. I had one mod run with chrome and gold stripes (purposely), and it's not bad. But a bright primary would turn me off of it unless you complement it with the secondary.

Just don't put anything else than gloss on secondary, since you would be wasting money if you do. And don't buy any custom wheels: it'll never see the light of day no matter what you do to the bike. You can put bulletproofs and tire smoke a-okay, unlike a certain bike with a tr in place of a b..

I'm thinking brushed metal bat-bike

I like the way you think. :)

Could you post a few photos of the Shotaro in chrome and gold?

Is now, apparently. SPD time is not Kaz time, I suppose.

But you didn't mention which part is chrome and gold. Thankfully, I went one step ahead and got a chrome gold one..

Looks real solid, for sure! And then, a gold chrome one..

Which really surprised me that the secondary gives out no light, unlike when you paint it in any other finish. So, you still have hope if you want a fully black, Batcycle styled Shotaro. Very good show from chrome, which you can't really say for all vehicles.

A little bonus

Gulf racing, anyone?

Do you also happen to have access to the glowing suits?

I did that sometime before, when we first found out they exist.

200k-ish for the top, bottom, helmet and boots (no gloves) is just.. not worth it. There are like 11 colors (even one for freaking black lights), by the way. So, if you're going to be a completion freak on even this, you actually have to invest up to 2.2 million dollars. Why? Shark Cards, of course.

Changing from that, I think there are gloves.. or not, I dunno. And this is assuming the entire full set is 200k, not 200k a piece (some real scummy *BLEEP* if this is for real)

Anyone get anything from this?
Actually, it ended up arriving on the 3rd for me.
Though, judging by the later comments, it appears that i'm the only luckster who got it early. Since the two comments after this state they got it today, and today for me is already the 5th.
That and the time i logged on during the 3rd being somewhere during 6 PM

Would it be a stupid idea to buy a Franken Stange and immediately sell it, just to have the ability to purchase another in the future when I have more money?

That would explain why I can still buy the Halloween vehicles.
