I just thought of something: First person view in GTA might encourage players to get into other FPS games. If they like it here, they might enjoy it elsewhere.
I would not be one of them. Never cared for FPS myself, won't even consider playing one, since trying the first or second COD, forever ago. Hated the view, and how it makes it difficult to know what's going on around me.I just thought of something: First person view in GTA might encourage players to get into other FPS games. I'm just worried that it it'll bring in the normal crowd that usually resides on FPS games.

I'm reading it'll be optional in the new GTAV, and I hope so. Forced FPV would ruin it for me.
With the first-person view, just imagine it:
No HUD on. Radio's on. You and other cars pull up to a car meet.
Will be the single-most amazing feeling moment in GTA.
I've been thinking to myself lately, how will R* make use of the PS4's controller touchpad and speaker?
I hope they do make use of them, maybe have cell phone calls come through the controller speaker?
Police dispatch calls will come through the speaker. Not sure what else will play through it.
As for the light on the controller, they will change color for the current character you're playing as in singleplayer. Blue for Michael, green for Franklin, orange for Trevor. When you have a wanted level, the light will flash between blue and red.
Is this actually happening or is that what you're guessing?

What @SVX said. I hope there will be an option to turn off the sound though. I sometimes play late at night and I don't want to wake up my parents with "ALLUNITSBEADVISEDWEHAVEAREPORTEDGRANDTHEFTAUTO" at 12:30 AM.
I'd imagine it'd be under audio settings?
Probably. I don't own a PS4, of course.
Neither. I'm not sure if I will be either, I keep changing my mind between the XB1 and PS4 everyday.

I'd say get the PS4 since most people here will be purchasing one if GT7 comes out (Heh).
I'm going to guess the touchpad could be for the weapon wheel.
Go for PS4.Neither. I'm not sure if I will be either, I keep changing my mind between the XB1 and PS4 everyday.
Go for PS4.
I gave up on Microsoft and X-Box earlier this year. Had two accounts for myself and two for my kids. Microsoft change their security settings too often, and seem to try and charge money for every little thing that they can.
The security changes required me to create ANOTHER two email addresses just for confirmation purposes, but THEN asked for a mobile contact number for each email for further confirmation. SERIOUSLY??
...and you also have to sometimes wait for up to 64 days to transfer an account from one system to another.
I just wanted to play a bloody game!
I don't use the XBox to run my company finances and payroll system. It's supposed to be a home games/entertainment console.
As far as the gameplay and what the next gen consoles are both capable of, which they both seem to be fairly level peggings at the moment, I would go for Sony every time. The specs for both next gen consoles are great, and the graphics and fluid movements look amazing, but at the end of the day having owned both consoles for many years, PS3/PS4 is easier to use, less hassle to update and log in to internet services and online gaming. 👍
Yes, I also love Forza, and agree that it's latest version currently has more appeal and is much more fun than GT6, and this is the only reason I have kept my Xbox. Everything else I buy is for PS3.
I'm going to play devil's advocate and recommend the XB1. Microsoft are bringing out some brilliant exclusives right now, FH2 is probably the best driving game I've ever played, and FM5 is a damn good track racer too. I've heard nothing but good things about Sunset Overdrive, and who doesn't like the idea of all the Halo games in HD? Despite all the criticisms it receives, I also love the Kinect, it feels truly 'next-gen' and getting plenty of new features every month is great. I've also never had any of the issues described by @Jay., and from what I've heard XBL on the One seems much more stable than PSN on the PS4.Many thanks for this. 👍
Slightly on the PS4's side now... it also helps my parents want me to get a PS4 rather than an XB1 due to buying me my Sony headset for my PS3 just last year.
