I think businesses will come into play and safe houses provided for you but as for purchasing housing, you can't.

Where did I saw this before? :D

Here is the new information known from the other previews:

Underwater world (with underwater caves) and diving equipment confirmed.
Side-missions similar to Taxi, Ambulance and Vigilante will be back but "probably not identical to the ones in previous GTAs" because they wouldn't fit in with the 3 main character personalities, but the "three will have odd jobs to do".
Trevor will be the skilled helicopter pilot, Franklin the skilled driver and sniper, Michael the "smooth operator", skilled and versatile.
Franklin is looking for a mentor and he finds one in Mike after they meet during one of Franklin's repo man jobs.
Trevor is inspired by the typical GTA player that only roams around the game creating havoc, death and destruction.
Mission types will vary among "big and small events , explosive, infiltration, super spectacular, family issues, invasion, hostage recovery, heists and robberies. Plus classic GTA missions but updated and improved."
Cover mechanics have been greatly improved and cover will be very important in the gameplay.
About the economy, Dan Houser says: "You will be able to spend money to buy interesting and fun things like expensive toys. We are still working on the economy but it will be a strong element in the game and players will be eager to make money to spend money. Something along the lines of "I went through all of this to make all this money and now I'm going to spend it on this crazy item."
Dynamic music during missions (similar to games like L.A. Noire)
No co-op for single player missions, but co-op modes will be featured in multiplayer.
Big focus on multiplayer with a lot of content to keep players busy.
The song Radar Love was heard playing on the in-game radio.
Alamo Sea is the name of the Salton Sea like area.
Radial menu to select the 3 protagonists.
Switching in missions partially scripted - meaning, at times character switching will happen automatically.
In final part of a mission in the demo, the player can decide which character to use.
There are multiple different endings in the storyline which depend on the choices you made throughout the game.
The storyline takes around 25 hours to complete.
Map open from beginning, with the exception of some protected areas.
A certain amount of money will be needed to gain access to some missions.
There is a functioning ecosystem teeming with wildlife.

''Rockstar boss drops massive GTA 5 story spoiler''

Edit:

I'm not sure what to think about that. I hope it's some kind of joke, but is that even possible considering the original interview was presented on New York Times web? Link:

Could've guessed that one.

Ew dynamic music. I'm turning that off asap. 25 hour strory is way too short. 35-40 is what I prefer.

Wildlife sounds great, same with an open map right away.

25 hour story for one ending is what I presume, saying that there are atleast two endings per character or something among those lines + the online features.. an 70-80 hour game is what I premuse?

^^^Just for the story I would never buy another game.

I suggested reading IGN's preview, in detail mission, how switching characters works, etc

EDIT

2 new screens from IGN
One is a lake with a mountain and dirt roads to the left, the other is a yellow R8 convertible

The graphics in general look nice but the cars look so bad...

Still the best fictional cars I've seen out of all the sandbox games in terms of proportion and the way light bounces off them. Certainly better than Saints Row and Just Cause.

where did you see them?

gtav.net

3 more just out too. 1 has "The Richman Hotel" with a 2013 Viper aka "Banshee" in red, another with an ATV near a lake, and a 3rd with Trevor riding a yellow Sanchez being chased by cops

I'm going to try to avoid reading or watching anything with spoilers on IGN. I'd like to have some surprises left for when I finally get my hands on the game.

I did notice this screen there, I don't believe it's been posted here and apologies if has been.

Forgot about this:
I always interpreted Tenpenny's personal interest in CJ as being down to resenting the way CJ had made something of himself. Tenpenny was powerful, and he hated the idea that any - particularly someone from Grove Street - could amass just as much (if not more) personal power. In Tenpenny's mind, he was the law, and anyone who challenged that had to be put down by whatever means necessary. Especially if they came from a background that Tenpenny considered to be beneath him. And it didn't help that his entire plan for himself and the city was founded on the idea that everyone would stay in "their place", meaning that anyone who even tried to make something of themselves was a threat to him.
I'm not saying Tenpenny was a poor character. Far from it. I agree with all of this, and would add that Tenpenny was so far deep in his thought own self-worth that he legitimately seemed to think that he was the good guy throughout the game.

My problem was with how CJ kept letting him think that long after it was obvious that Tenpenny was comparatively low on the totem pole to some of the other people CJ had worked for/with.

Perhaps, but Toreno is something of an unreliable narrator. We only had his word for it that he had the power to get Sweet out of prison, make Tenpenny go away and absolve CJ of his role in anything he did. Toreno's character works better if he is unable to keep his word, but CJ has no choice but to believe him.

When Toreno first showed up? Sure. Really hard to tell how much of what Toreno was saying was being pulled out of thin air and how much of it was actually real.

But after all that stuff that CJ had done for him, and how much Toreno had said about CJ's situation? There's simply no way that Toreno didn't have massive influence to get CJ in a position to do those things, let alone keep CJ from getting in trouble over it. And CJ even directly questioned that influence a couple times during the proceeds, and Toreno reaffirmed that it was there each time. By the time Tenpenny came back, the only thing CJ hadn't done for Toreno is steal the jump jet. To say nothing about how CJ was also at that point close friends with some of the most powerful criminal elements in the entire state.

So to have CJ turn around and immediately go back to being Tenpenny's whipping boy just doesn't make any sense. When Tenpenny came back towards the end of the Venturas chapter and forced CJ go out and kill a couple dozen FBI agents to retrieve the dossier they had on him, by that point in the story it would have made far more sense for CJ to just laugh and walk away or put a bullet in him on the spot. It was even pointed out that CJ wasn't afraid of Tenpenny at that point, since his initial response to Tenpenny's problem was to laugh at him. But then the game didn't bother giving a reason that CJ "had" to do what Tenpenny said despite making it clear that CJ was no longer intimidated by him.

Dynamic music is used to build suspense in the mission. I'm betting it's not something that gets turned off & is apart of certain missions since you'll probably never hear it again elsewhere.

I'll be really disappointed if there's no buyable properties. That would be just like GTA IV, having too few places to save the game in a huge map. (and with no useable safehouse in the entire Broker/Dukes area after the first chapter is over)

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere/ in gameinformer that this wasn't going to be the case? I may be wrong but if someone wants to find a source for that go ahead :).

Being it's GTA I feel it will ruin it.

I never thought people would get their panties in a twist over dynamic music. Especially not to the extent that they believe it will "ruin" the game.

Why would that ruin it? I'm sure Rockstar will do it correctly.

I'm sure they will do it right. But in my eyes I try to make as close to real life as possible. Do you hear dynamic music when something is about to happen in your life? No. And it shouldn't it GTA either.

EDIT

So animals are confirmed. Now the question is, can you kill them?

That is, without a doubt, the weakest argument ever. I think you're forgetting just what kind of series this is.

Most of what you just quoted was posted on the last page as well. That you also quoted....

That is, without a doubt, the weakest argument ever. I think you're forgetting just what kind of series this is.

I'm not saying it won't work, just saying it doesn't appeal to me. I'll reserve any further judgement until I play it.

Instantly knew this about the next grand theft auto the second I played RDR.

When dogs were announced, in my head I thought why would just add 1 animal? So in a sense I knew it was coming. Going to be scary running through a dark, foggy forest at night in a thunderstorm with a pack of wolves playing mind games with you....I shudder thinking about it.

Isn't it funny how a video game can scare me like that. Needless to say, I'm excited to see animals confirmed and to see what R* brings to the table.
