I can play them legally now lol. I've been playing them since San Andreas came out, at families houses. I didn't actually buy SA off of my friend until several years ago. But at that point I'd played it enougn (along with the other versions) to have logged well over 1000 hours in SA alone and more in the other versions. Hadn't played GTA III until late 2011. The rest I'd played before.

It's alright I was only teasing you, I'm only 25 so I played GTA III, VC and SA before I should have. My parents didn't care because I was a nerd so they knew I wasn't about to go on a rampage in the real world.

Haha it's cool bro. Yeah I knew it was a game at that age and I knew the difference between gaming and real world (I also played a lot of NFS Underground 2 and Freekstyle). I turned out ok after blowing up a million people haha/

I was in GAME today looking at games to buy etc. I couldn't help overhear the guys next to me as they spoted the pre order cases of GTAV, it was quite funny what one said. First one said "Oh look GTA five is out x2" to his mate to get his attention, then his mate said "Is it..? Nope it's only to garentee your copy" He then went on and said "I doubt GTA five will be any good I rekon it won't be near as good as San Andreas.."

At that point I walked away to have a private chuckle to myself.. I mean this guy must live under a rock to think that . I thought it was pretty ironic tbh :P.

With the way people keep going bust there ain't any way I'm pre-ordering till a month or so before release :)

I don't think the likes of Tesco or Amazon are going to go bust anytime soon! Agree on places like HMV though, they've been on thin ice for a while.

I'd trust big supermarkets, but I didn't think someone like comet would go out of business either.

Oh boy is he in for a surpirse haha.

GTA V will be to this gen, what San Andreas was to last gen. I love how detailed the shark is and honestly, I'm going to be a bit scared swimming now haha.

Also, looking at these screenshots again, I noticed a few things.

~ Is the one shot with Franklin driving the low rider, could that be riding on custom rims? Sure looks like it.
~ Anyone notice the snow on the sidewalk? Seasons maybe?
~ Michaels face looks like Rockstar aged him down a little bit, at least from real up close, possibly being a badass again...smart move if it's real.
~ I love how the marine is stricly yellow. Think about that one. Possibly a hint that the classic Beatles song is part of the soundtrack?
~ Different collars have been featured for Chop, Franklins dog. Possibility that we may be able to customize this?
~ Other screens have introduced what looked like Ballas...

Is game is going to cause extreme controversy I can feel it.
Of course, it will. Every GTA game has caused controversy.

Should 'cause about as much as RDR considering 90% of the money you earn in that game comes from killing and skinning animals. I assume that GTAV won't encourage you to kill as many animals as RDR, but, we'll see.
RDR had controversy? Since when?

Doubtfully anywhere near the amount GTA games have gotten.

True. But it might be more so this time. I can't wait to find out haha

Frankly as long as I can buy the game and it doesn't get ripped off shelves I don't care how much controversy it causes.

According to Wikipedia, my favorite source for everything, RDR only attracted controversy because of the unusually long working hours for the employees.

RDR (IMHO) was better than IV in almost every respect... having only just played RDR, I think V is going to feel a little 'run-of-the-mill-GTA-game' now. If you know what I mean?

I know there's character switching, but I'm really worried that the rest of it is going to just be more of the same, and expectations are so high now, I don't see how it can be as mind-blowing as Vice City was for its atmosphere (at the time) and SA was for its scale (at the time)... I just don't see how R* can take it up another step in scale from IV whilst its on the PS3, and I don't think another game set in contemporary surroundings will appeal as much to me as the more 'themed' games.

I think that Rockstar knows they have to do something or the franchise is going to flop. Especially after IV, they knew they needed more of what made VC and SA special. Reliving VC would be awesome, maybe they could do a '70s themed one or something else.

GTA V looks set to be a great game, the feature of switching characters via the map,I think it will be very similar to the map interface from midnight club L.A.
Shame there isn't co-op but I'm sure online multiplayer will make up for that.
Does anyone remember those races you could do on GTA SA where you started off by swimming, then cycling and running(I forget what there called)that would be cool if you could do that online.
I also like the sort of characters in V too,Michael looks like the brains of the gang,Franklin the wheelman/driver and Trevor action/guns/pilot etc.(at least from my interpretation)

'Beat The Cock' triathlon they were. Good stuff.

Marine equipment is often colored yellow as it's easy to spot and identify, and also yellow is a color sharks dislike/ignore. Hopefully it's color coding is done in a way that we can change it with trainer progs when it hits PC, for multiplayer use, rather than being locked/set for yellow.

Ah yes I remember now,it'd be great doing those online aswell as submarine battles.:)

Submarine battles....I can think of several ways to make great missions out of that alone....

It was. I could never beat it though, CJ would always run out of stamina on the run leg right before the finish.

That is why you must increase your stamina to max in the gym before trying it haha

With submarines returning, I wonder if we will finally be able to captin U.S.S. Numnutz....

Yeah, but I could never really be bothered with that. Why would I want to go to the gym, when I could be driving a tow truck off of the top of Mt Chiliad instead?

Anyway, I hope Rockstar releases some more info soon.

Indeed, I also hated the eating food/weights/working out thing, it was tedious and dull and just distracted from the fun. Glad they didn't keep that for IV and V.

I actually liked doing that all, it was cool to have that implemented in a virtual world. It worked quite well and I enjoyed doing it and still do.
