GTAV - snapmatics

Took my first character that I created around the time when the game came out and updated him with a new style.

Also a friend of mine let me play around with GTAV on PC, I didn't do much, but I took this picture.

Did a 3-day (in game) road trip with my favorite car in the game, the Blade. This car belongs to my Michael, but I'm trying to build it for my online character as well. Level 44 for the Injection Stacks and I have to win a rally race to get the exterior finish. Primary color is brushed steel with chrome/polished steel secondary. Wheels are in the muscle category but can't remember what name. For a while I had similar looking lowrider wheels with white walls and red painted hubs...but I like this far more. I love it. I would totally rock a '64 Falcon in real life that looked exactly the same.

Starting the trip at sunset near the pier.

Drove west and then north. I took a few screenshots but they didn't come out very well, so I'll skip to my next destination. The villa/hotel just behind Vinewood hills.

I continued east [repairing my car once] and got to the lighthouse before dawn

Then I headed back west into the mountains. I had to put down 3 mountain lions while taking these shots. ****ers are everywhere. Felt a little strange and a little overkill using a fully automatic handgun...but eh...

So the sun started setting on the second day and I headed back south, into the city. It is refreshing to take a break from the missions and the murderous rampages, cash gathering, spending sprees and just admire the incredible amount of detail that the developers lavished on GTA V. It is truly stunning...especially on PC master race with ultra everything :)

And then finally bringing her back home, where she sits next to my other favorite *car* in the game. It doesn't need modifying though, it's pretty much perfect stock.

The blade has excellent acceleration and solid top speed. But what I like about the blade more than other cars is that the suspension has so much travel that it never loses its composure. Curbs, small rocks, jumps... it handles all of them so well. It's almost like a trophy truck. I don't think this is particularly realistic because a real gasser would have incredible stiff front suspension, but it makes it a solid choice for nearly any situation in the game. One might think the tradeoff would be understeer, but it's very mangeable. It's not exactly neutral, but it doesn't seem to slow it down.

Next up I will do a road trip with Franklin's gorgeous bobber I built for him. For Trevor....hmmm....I'm not sure. Needs to be something either off road or airborne...we'll see.

Here's the updated Warrener. Actually not completely updated in these photos, I just realized. Regardless, I like it, I like it a lot.

Famous last words before our trucks died "lets go in the water!"

didnt quite make it to the water. so much for ground clearance

So I was shopping at Ponsonby's online and I ran into another player. I sort of walked into where he was standing, and all of a sudden he disappeared and a little bit more $800,000 dropped on the ground. I picked it all up. I had a total of about $90,000 before it happened. I honestly have no idea what the hell happened. Hopefully Rockstar doesn't ban me.

In other news, I've uploaded some photos I've taken in game.

Here is my Franklin's collection of motorcycles. I really like the brushed steel look....obviously.

The Daemon took me nearly 2 full (real time) days to acquire. It doesn't ordinarily spawn, and it seems to only spawn at all during 2 or 3 missions. I nabbed this one during a "random encounter" where a couple of Lost guys try kidnapping a girl. I don't even like it that much, but I needed it for my V-twin collection! I'm quite fond of the bobber-style Bagger. It's not terribly fast, but it handles very smoothly. A lot of the bikes are crazy touchy.

The Dozer is capable of massive destruction. It's really fun driving over cars with the treads. Annoyingly, the treads don't actually work on the surface of a car....so you have to keep one on the ground.

Last car for Trevor's "Curious and Relics" collection. More on that later.

Here's my small online garage near the Napa Valley area. I wish there were more properties to buy in this region. Only one garage is close. Best roads in the game, so naturally I'd put some bikes in there.

I was driving around the area when I came to this hill just before dawn. Very annoyingly, I had just prior turned my texture settings down so that I could turn the pedestrian spawn variety all the way up. It normally looks way better than this, but alas, I only have 2gb of vram, so I can't have it all at once.

And a couple more of the Enduro + my online character. I wish you could put the goggles down. I tried combing the ski mask and open faced helmet to remake the Steve Mcqueen look from LeMans, but you can't have both. :(

I really like how they put an old school style scrambler in the game...now if we could only get a nice cafe racer or two....:)

The short, but sweet story of a sad little Blista Compact that had been neglected for months gone by, of how a chance encounter of a certain person that decided to give the little car a second chance in life.

Battered and on the verge of falling apart, there wasn't a single part that wasn't untouched from abuse and neglect from it's previous owner, who wanted nothing more than to shun it from his sad excuse of a life, but despite all odds and severe abuse, the Blista's reliable engine still held strong.

Once after that certain person had discovered the car, sitting among long forgotten and decayed carcasses of vehicles in the junkyard, he decided that it was too good for it sit there for who knows how long until someone else cannibalizes it for parts, or vandalize it more for some sick purpose of entertainment. With some phone calls and a little bit of diving into the bank account, the restoration began.....

Success! Even after sitting for a while, including the abuse from the previous owner, the engine miraculously coughed into life, saving alot more money than it was initially needed.

After months of hard labor and dedication, including some much needed parts from a few donor cars, the end result was very much worth it, completely transforming the car.

Satisfied, proud and excited, the now new owner of the little Blista Compact gave the car it's much needed, and deserved love and care, and made sure everything ran as smooth as the day it rolled out the factory in 1986. With a long road trip very much in the question, the car traveled to many places, high and low, basking in the bright sun, and enjoying the clear summer days as the car cruised around San Andreas, very much enjoying it's second chance in life.

I liked the Blista in GTA IV, but since I don't own a current-gen console, I don't know how well it drives. I enjoyed your story, though and hopefully I can drive a Blista in GTA V eventually. :)
