If servers are appealing would anyone be open to layout change?
That's what I planned. When we're all in the room we'll have a quick 5 min race to see if everything works fine. If not we'll go Daytona. Best thing to do in my opinion.

Seemed ok earlier though so fingers crossed

No I mean still run Matterhorn just run a different layout

we discussed this earlier mate, everyone wants dristelen and no we won't change. You bought it up, it was discussed and no one wanted it. A few people have put in a lot of time this week testing it, not fair.

Changing it to another layout won't help anyway

Right, I'm going to turn in for the night guys, not sure what else we can do really. Lets just turn up and see what happens. Will do the driver brief when I get home.

Good luck tomorrow and see you on track 👍

The servers weren't too bad during the Clio V6's for me today, the tyre sounds were intermittent but I could cope :) so they should be okay tomorrow :)

'The Keys to the Kingdom' - featuring NinjitsuEvolved

This week in the GTTCC the paddock are set to travel to the Matterhorn, a notorious mountain in the heart of Switzerland, to compete in three races on the Dristelen Circuit to see who will be crowned 'The King of the Mountain.' Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to sit down with NinjitsuEvolved of the Orange Fighters team to hear what he thought of this unforgiving circuit. He gave us what he called his Three Keys to the Kingdom.

1) Consistency - "When we arrived here earlier in the week I started out looking for absolute pace. I was pushing as hard as I could to try to put in a devastating lap time, lay down a marker for everyone else to chase. The harder I pushed, the harder it became and I started losing time. Then I pushed even harder and went off on Turn 7, damaging the front suspension. We lost the rest of the first day because of my eagerness to go as hard as possible, as soon as possible. When the next day came I started off much slower, and starting just getting a feel for the circuit, letting the car do the work. The lap times soon came tumbling down. Now, not only do I feel as though I am one of the faster drivers over a single lap, but I can also maintain that pace for a longer run. I think a lot of what happens on Wednesday is going to be down to who can get those tyres switched on and get themselves into a rhythm the fastest."

2) The Car - "This is most definitely a power circuit. Unlike Cape Ring which was more technical or Big Willow which was about trying to maintain as much speed as possible, this is all about the grunt of the car. Sure, you need a lot of technique to get around this race track cleanly, but having plenty of horses and plenty of torque definitely helps for the big, uphill climbs in the first half of the lap. I pretty certain that this track features the most dramatic changes in elevation that we'll see all year and a lot of the challenge for us in the cars is going to be handling the way that the characteristics of the car change in each half of the lap. The first half of the lap is primarily uphill, the second half primarily down, and any driver with a good understanding of their car should find that will pay off for them."

3) Bravery - "You can have the best car on the grid, you can have all the talent in the world, but this track tests the limits of your courage. In order to make up lap time, you've got to be prepared to run as close to the limits as possible, without overstepping the mark. It's like walking a tightrope, only at 100mph. That was the hardest thing to get over in my mind, the fact that you have to be right on that razors edge. Especially here, where the walls are so close and a big mistake can cost you so dearly, given the speed and potential positions you'll throw away."

Races are scheduled to begin on Wednesday 24th September.

I might be a little late in getting back from work today, but hopefully can still make qualy for race 1. Don't wait for me beyond 7 ;)

the VW is mindblowingly quick round Matterhorn lol

I won't stand a chance mate, I'm well off the pace and cant drive at all last few days :/

@yuc2002 i'm sure people wouldn't mind waiting 10 mnins, gives us a chance to have a small test race to see how things run

@Paulking66 yeah hope you can make it bud. Remember to do the update if you haven't done it yet

Any one unable to make tonight? Remember to do the form if you haven't yet. Hope tonight goes well. Stewards will be keeping an eye on those hitting the wall purposely to help and running wide at the penultimate corner to gain an advantage

ok smith, hope you can make it

Good to see you back paul, hows the leg mate?

yeah, there's a lot of replies. Even if it's not many people at the moment but still a good community. Hope we can get some more interest for next season
