I know sorry the Praiano thread caught my eye, and watching it waiting to see what happens :P

GTTCC Car Choice Weekend #7
@GT_Vette will run the 3rd VW, will look great in Red.
@SkengD sticks with FR tradition and will run the reining manufacture car, Toyota
@Doomstorm16 finally gives some love to the Volvo
@hcfirefighter09 will provide an all American line up in the Ford

Nearly there, will give Emo until 6/7 then we'll get the next batch done
YES! Still a Nissan available! :D

Emo finally gets back and wants the BMW lol

At this stage I'm sure nobody cares, kept everybody waiting who wanted to get this car line-up sorted. Back of the line, since I'm sure it'll be a good 72 hours until you get the second pick (prove me wrong)

Right, also, I've been asked can we move the start date back to the 25th.

You're moving it the wrong way... ;)

Just waiting for my Nissan...

GTTCC Car Choice weekend #8 (dunno, lost count )

It's not fair on you guys, let's get to it

@RacingLine will run the final VW, meaning TRL is the first factory team 👍
@swiftsmith will run the second Volvo
@1996mikey2412 sorry mate you have to use the Nissan, i know how much you didn't want to

The most people got was their 3rd choice car, good stuff really 👍

That's about it now. 9 o clock the 3 yet to give me a car will be randomly assigned one

You said to get back to you Sunday nite. I got back to you Sunday morning with my choice. You never told me I had 30mins to choose. You message me at 11.35pm when I'm asleep. First thing I did was message you my choice?
I'm confused.

Car choices have worked for everyone

Now if I can have some feedback, would be greatly appreciated.

Before we started I knew the FF and FR tyre wear varied, but in my own testing I found it was slight, and the FF's burnt more fuel, which shouldn't be too much of an issue. This is why I asked if people could turn up for a night, but we only had 5 or so. Now people have found that there is a second difference in the end of the race between FF and FR cars.

So

I think Race 1 will need the pit stop brought back. I know they're really annoying, but it's the best solution I can find.
Race 2, 30minutes is maybe too long especially for the wear. Perhaps 20 mins again with the wear slightly quicker?

About a month ago I gave you the car list, so you had a lot more time then others to find a car. I said sunday night is the last I would accept, but if people were around and made us wait then i'd move on. I did indeed message you last night, after we had spent 2 days waiting. i'm sorry mate but it's not fair on others, they were able to test in just under 2 weeks

Count me in. ;)

Team name: Perfect Apex Racing
Number: #83
Car: Volvo (if possible)

I'll be keeping as an independent. I have always been in a team while racing in the BTCC and while I'm really pleased how well the team has done, it'll be nice to run solo for a change. It also means that if I have a change in heart. I won't be letting anyone down (other than True).

Thanks to True for the constant invites and to those that have been asking or telling me to join. You have your wish.

I was finding the same amount of wear on my Integra as on the BMW, within 1 point at least on the front and the BMW was much worse on the rear, I honestly think they are very close as they are. Personally I would like to see race one have tyre wear on fast to force everyone into a stop but not make it mandatory. Then maybe someone tries to drive conservatively to no stop and everyone else stops but is flat out the whole time.

When me and @Ian_83 were racing wildly at Brands Hatch for 25 bloody minutes :P, we encountered that him in his Volvo, was travelling nearly 3 or 4 seconds slower than me in MY BEAUTIFUL NISSAN, due to his tyre wear. Now, I don't know whether that was from me pushing him hard or that the Volvo just sucks at tyre management.

P.S. By golly that Volvo is quick in a straight line.

That's not fair at all. You said I had till Sunday nite.

You then changed that without tell me????

I had a car list with specs and cars that aren't even in the championship. I've got a jag and RCZ etc that were then cut.

yep, this Wednesday will be a full test, then we can see what does/doesn't work and go from there

I really am sorry
However I had said leading up to this weekend, and even during, that sunday night would be when giving out the car you wanted would close. If a driver was around during the time and had not supplied me with a car or made contact then I would move forwards. It was always the same and it's why I was pushing people. All weekend I've postponed and waited for a choice.

I messaged you Friday night. You then replied in the morning you would get back to me last night. So again people waited all day for news.

Although there are cars that were dropped (after I was had a go at by people about mind you) there are still the cars with the specs. If there were any changes you were notified right away.
There's not much I can do. I waited and waited and you had the last month to look. Even Thursday night you were online giving them a shake down.

If anyone else disagrees tell me, but it wasn't fair, and I was told by many, to move on. There's still Nissan and Toyota spaces left

Here is the most logical GTTCC, no, infact GTPlanet question of ALL TIME!!!!!!!

Anyone online for some practice?

I think

Race 1: 20 min / tyre wear on fast / pitstop compulsory
Race 2: 25 min / tyre wear on very fast / 2 tyre compounds used
Race 3: 10 min / tyre wear off
