RMTC Bulletin (Edition #1)
Ok, welcome to the first ever RMTC Bulletin! In this edition, there is plenty of news about the upcoming first round at Brands Hatch, recaps of the test days, the official practice day is announced and much, much more!
Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has joined the series and everyone who has shown up to the all important test days, as this series wouldn't be what it is without you's. On the topic of test days, I am happy to announce that everyone did there mandatory 1hr of testing across the two official test days. Also, the competition between the two classes was incredibly close with the Pro and Am class separated by less than 1.2secs.
Now onto the first round of the series at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit. The first round of the series also coincides with the Euro Leg opener which is a mini championship within the bigger championship were we are competiting for a massive digital pay-day of a $20 PSN Card! (Wow! How good is that! Sarcasm) Another thing that should be noted is that everyone should be keeping an eye on this thread along with the weather forecast for Brands Hatch so you know what tyres to bring and what to setup for.
On the topic of tyres, in Tuesday's drivers briefing, I will announce which tyres (3) will be brought to the race. It is also mandatory that you do a compound switch in the race if it is outlined in the driver's briefing. More on this later on...
Another thing that should be brought to everyone's attention is that the race format for Friday's race has changed slightly. It will now go like this;
- 10 minutes of Qualyfying
- 2x 15 lap races w/ Reverse Grid for the 2nd race
- 5 minutes of Qualyfying
- 1x 25 lap race
It will be mandatory that you do a compound switch in the 3rd race. As a result of this, we will be starting at a slightly earlier time which will be announced on in Tuesday's driver's briefing.
Also, the official practice day for the series is being determined but for now it will be Wednesday at 10:30pm AEST // 12:30pm GMT // 7:30am EST. *Subject to change
Well that's it for now and I hope to have a recap of Friday's race and more on next Sunday's edition of the RMTC Bulletin!!
