RMTC Bulletin (Edition #1)
Ok, welcome to the first ever RMTC Bulletin! In this edition, there is plenty of news about the upcoming first round at Brands Hatch, recaps of the test days, the official practice day is announced and much, much more!

Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has joined the series and everyone who has shown up to the all important test days, as this series wouldn't be what it is without you's. On the topic of test days, I am happy to announce that everyone did there mandatory 1hr of testing across the two official test days. Also, the competition between the two classes was incredibly close with the Pro and Am class separated by less than 1.2secs.

Now onto the first round of the series at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit. The first round of the series also coincides with the Euro Leg opener which is a mini championship within the bigger championship were we are competiting for a massive digital pay-day of a $20 PSN Card! (Wow! How good is that! Sarcasm) Another thing that should be noted is that everyone should be keeping an eye on this thread along with the weather forecast for Brands Hatch so you know what tyres to bring and what to setup for.

On the topic of tyres, in Tuesday's drivers briefing, I will announce which tyres (3) will be brought to the race. It is also mandatory that you do a compound switch in the race if it is outlined in the driver's briefing. More on this later on...

Another thing that should be brought to everyone's attention is that the race format for Friday's race has changed slightly. It will now go like this;
- 10 minutes of Qualyfying
- 2x 15 lap races w/ Reverse Grid for the 2nd race
- 5 minutes of Qualyfying
- 1x 25 lap race
It will be mandatory that you do a compound switch in the 3rd race. As a result of this, we will be starting at a slightly earlier time which will be announced on in Tuesday's driver's briefing.

Also, the official practice day for the series is being determined but for now it will be Wednesday at 10:30pm AEST // 12:30pm GMT // 7:30am EST. *Subject to change

Well that's it for now and I hope to have a recap of Friday's race and more on next Sunday's edition of the RMTC Bulletin!!

Premliminary Driver's Briefing // Round 1 // Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit

Event Schedule:

10:00pm AEST- Room Opens, practice begins.
10:20pm AEST- Spec check commences
10:25pm AEST- Re-load the room
10:30pm AEST- Qualyfying starts
10:40pm AEST- Race 1 Begins
11:00pm AEST- Race 2 Begins
11:15pm AEST- Race 3 Begins
12:15am AEST- Cut-off time

Qualyfying:
Qualyfying will only decide the first race's grid with race 2 and 3 decided on the reverse of the previous race. 2 bonus points will be given to the person who qualifies on pole in both classes. The 107% time will be 1.34.1

Race Start: The race will start with one pace lap. The pace lap speed must be consistent as of after Sterling's Bend (turn 8), failure to do so may end in a time penalty or points penalty. The two classes will start amongst each other at the stewards discretion. Pole may signal race start anywhere on the pit straight as long as it is before the start/finish line. If pole crosses the start/finish line, that will also declare the race green.

Important Notes:

Pit Lane:
Pit lane entry and exit lines MUST be observed. More importantly, exit lines. It is also stressed that you give way to any car that may be coming up the pit straight before you enter the track due to the blind corners. Failure to do so may result in time and points penalties and/or, depending on the severity, disqualification.

Track Edge: As discussed thoroughly during the final test day at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit, the track edge (grass, ripplestrips) is incredibly slippery, so we stress that you take care when running by yourself or in a pack close to the track edge.

Mass Disconnections: As we all know, the servers are unstable at this point in time. This is why we are starting the event 1 hour earlier than usual. If 2 or more drivers disconnect during the race, they will be permitted to return to the lobby to participate in the restart. This will only take place in the 3rd race as the 1st and 2nd races are to short to do so.

The Restart: As a result of a mass disconnection, we will do a restart. All drivers will exit the track (they will not be able to go into driver/car settings, if you do this, you will be DSQ'd) and the race will restart with the laps to go exactly what they were at the time of the incident.

Incidents: If you feel you have been infringed on in any way during the race (e.g; someone cuts a corner and gains an advantage, or someone turns you around with intent, and/or blocks you) you have the right to lodge an official complaint about the incident to the stewards of the night but ensure you have sufficent evidence. Remember, you can also appeal penalties that can be given to you.

More to come in Friday's Driver's Briefing...

thanks mate :) it'll be like this every week so you may be better off changing it ;)

I am actually considering changing it as I may need to shuffle a few things around due to karting committments, like next weeks race which may be delayed a week or a few days. However, the reason for an earlier start time is due to the instability on the servers.

Also, @swiftsmith, you are yet to send me a friend request and participate in any official RMTC event. If you do not attend this week's race I will be forced to take action on it.

Yep, I'll get around to adding you very directly. In fact I'll probably see you in the Targa Zahara room. It is fantastic that the Spinning Arrows Club have decided to do this partnership so I'm estatic!!
Which class do you want to race in and the number of your car? (Just so I can put you on the driver list)

Also guy's, it looks like it could be a wet start to the race according to the weather forecast. Friday's Driver's Briefing will have all the information about tyre selection, etc. so make sure you read Friday's briefing very closely.

!! IMPORTANT !!

Due to the odd number of entrants between the two classes, the Pro/Am Championship has been scrapped for the 1st Euro Leg but it may make a return at a later stage. Whether it be next season or later on this season, I cannot tell you.

!! IMPORTANT !!
Remember! We have our final practice tommorow at 11:00pm AEST // 1:00pm GMT // 8:00am EST. I would like to see everyone there so we can get a few pics for a club logo.

I havent had the chance to read all of the information, but at what time will the race start? Is going to be on a friday right?

Friday at 10:00pm AEST // 12:00pm GMT // 7:00am EST then the racing will start at around 10:45pm AEST // 12:45pm GMT // 7:45am EST.

Practice room will open tonight at 11:00pm AEST // 1:00pm GMT // 8:00am EST and it is vital that everyone who can join attends. We also have two new competitiors in Timlour and sherlockgamer99! They may not have a GTP ID, but they are more than welcome here and are eager to race.

We are also now racing under the Gran Turismo Online Racing (GTOR) banner!!

There is also a chance that the race day will be changing after Round 1 to a Saturday at the same time to better suit the majority of the series. Please tell me if this time slot will affect your availability to attend.

Free Practice has been cancelled due to a lack of said interest. The race is still on for tomorrow at 10:00pm AEST // 12:00pm GMT // 7:00am EST for a 10:45pm AEST start.

You should have said that you were going to be there. No one said they would. And as far as I'm concerned, I've put in alot of hours for practice and organising so the event goes smoothly and doesn't, no offense, turn into the terrible room that you ran as a back-up host for Itz's series. So I've done my work for now so I want to kick back and relax.
