I think you guys should set up a link to a AIM chatroom for the fellow GTP members. I know I did on my forum and even with my slim 137 members it was quite popular. I could just imagine it being much bigger with this board. 👍

Well, I've never used AOL and I really am not familiar with their services. Could you direct me to a place where I could learn a bit more about their chat rooms?

Sure bro,

This is how it works;

All you need is to have AIM (found here) and click on a given link to an AIM Chatroom;

Here's the HTML code:
<a href="aim:gochat?roomname=YOURROOMNAME">aim:gochat?roomname=YOURROOMNAME</a>
(Just simply replace the "YOURROOMNAME" text with whatever you'd like to call the chatroom.)

And that's all, you have a chatroom that anyone with an AIM software installed can access, which I beleive the majority of the people have.

Hope that helps and thanks for your time,

zeno :cool:

I think it's a great idea but as many members as GTP has and as many as are on at one time, a small chatroom would be chaotic. I've been in one with 15 people and I could barely keep up.

Well yes, that's pretty much the only downside...

Yahoo! Messenger is great when it comes to chat rooms. I have AOL, and can't stand to go to chat rooms anymore on it because of all the sicks perverts out there. On Yahoo! Messenger you can communicate with your microphone and webcamera, which is really fun when you're talking to your on-line friends. Just my two cents worth.
