Things are really hotting up now. I processed another 17 PMs today. Some people have taken clear leads in certain categories, in others there is quite a bit of competition that you may have thought would be one sided!

Just out of idle curiousimacy.

Last time out I recall we had nominations and each category was subsequently voted for. This time I'm guessing we're just having the total votes at the end? Some of the categories (Quote/Thread/AvSigTitle Combo) benefit from having open nominations beforehand - if only to remind people of quotes/threads/AvSigTitle Combos from all over the site, in areas they might not commonly visit.

So, when does the voting stop? New Years? That would seem reasonable, seeing as that it wouldn't be 2006 anymore.

I say New years like last time (it was new years wasn't it?). I guess it really depends on how fast the votes are coming in, if they've slowed to a trickle by the end of this week advertise it as being Christmas eve, then any late voters will get thier act on. If votes are coming in fast into next week, hold it off until new years. If there's not going to be any votes between Christmas eve, there's little point in waiting. It's not a big wait mind, but thats what I'd do anyway.

You know what? I think we really should have included a "Rookie of the year" award nomination. Given of course, to the best new member during his/her first year here. There's a member who came later than I did and he has helped the site more than I would have in 2 years. He definitely deserves an award 👍
