Very kind of you, mate. All the best to you and yours, too. 👍
Thanks, Shem!
Unfortunately my time of teaching the children has temporarily come to an end due to my relocation to London but I've been told a position will be made available for me at the same school on my return at the end of the year.
You obviously are a great teacher - and that shouldn't go to waste; they would be wise to not only take you back but sweeten the pot to keep you firmly trapped.
I don't think I could stay away from here if I wanted to. It's such a lively place full of humour and good people, funny stories and sometimes stories of sadness. This site, if it was a real place, would be a veritable paradise compared to many of the slums that other forums are.
Absolutely!
It's where I pitched a hat just after you joined (coincidently) and found many a kindred soul on a playground maintained with honesty and dedication to decent intercourse. I'm a member of other fora, too - some for over twenty years, some I haven't visited in many, many years - the internet is a smorgasboard of activity and for anyone with wide ranging interests and sufficient networking skills there is no dearth of places to comfortably roost - but finding a community that takes interest and cares about what goes on in each other's lives in a genuine way are few and far between.
Granted, sites like Facebook offer perfect havens for those who know how to build - you can build a worldful of friends that will keep you busy all day long - and many of them will even be real life friends you meet, relatives, other long lost or distant friends who care - I know many who live for their Facebook account - all virtual life is linked to it.
But GTPlanet has a distinct flavour.
It is about a circle. The wheel. We all rotate around that.
As wheel-lovers, everything connected, games, lifestyles, sports, music, movies, photography, collecting stuff, the politics we dissect, the markets and items that interest us goes back to the wheel. There's an advantage right there. We have one common bond to start out with.
GTPlanet is also eclectic in culture, creed, knowledge-base, gender, and pretty much every diversity you can think of while being bound by this common bond.
Add to that the wide range in ages - and we have a family - a large family, and judging from the comments in the
GTP 2015 Thread - lots and lots of little families all doing their GTP thing.
Good time, and the perfect party, to raise a toast to
@Jordan
This Bud's for you, Jordan.
To Jordan!
Here's to a whamhungous increase in success for 2016!
