It's pretty I suppose. I'll give it a cool., but those wheels are ew.

Even if it wasn't a very thinly disguised version of a race car that competed at Le Mans.
Even if it wasn't the car that inspired Jaguar to make the E-Type.
Even if it wasn't stunning to behold (better than the E-Type to my eyes - more compact).
Even if it wasn't - by all accounts - fantastic to drive and pretty brisk for its time.
It was owned, driven to the shops, driven to cafes and driven to film sets by the coolest guy in Hollywood.

SZ.

There is a quote in Con Air from Colm Meaney's character, when he's talking about his C2 Corvette:

"Beautiful?! Sunsets are beautiful, new born babies are beautiful. This, this is 🤬 spectacular!"

I think the quote is far more appropriate for the XKSS than the 'vette. Sub-zero.

I can only think of a few contenders cool enough to deserve McQueen's garage.

@mustang fanatic

Oh come on, at least try to come up with a better cover than that.

"Oh look a Jaguar that looks and sounds completely unlike anything I have ever seen in person, hmm... No, can't say I find that particularly interesting, especially since the wheels are-Oh my gosh is that one of the 2 million first generation Mustangs over there?! Dear lord I think that one is a K-code engine, I can hardly contain myself! If it turns out to have the optional tilting steering column I might just pass out!"

Are we just unhappy that we didn't find the Boss 429 as cool as you hoped or can you really only appreciate old American stuff with V8's?

A classic Jag owned by Steve McQueen is never anything less than Sub Zero.

Steve McQueen owned one.

That means that this car should automatically go in the garage next to the Muira, as it is named after him.

Also, if anyone votes for anything less that Cool, you better have damn a good explanation as to why a car that Steve McQueen owned isn't cool at all.

Gets a cool from me. I think it looks weirdly proportioned with that windshield and those lights (both front and rear).

SZ right away. Easiest decision ever. And as a bonus it was owned by Mr. Cool himself, so yeah I think it's justifiable that this car might get to 1st place.

Steve McQueen's dead. I don't find Jaguars cool. It looks like a bug.

edit: Yeah, not sure I'm going to bother boarding this bandwagon or not yet.

Sub-zero. I think Steve McQueen is one of the coolest people ever, if it was good enough for him it must be sub-zero.

All this, but absolutely the other way around. I could care less for the McQueen reference, but the car is absolutely freaking sub zero because of it's own qualities.

also, lol at @Slash. You sometimes (most times, but this one is got damn) are really, really off your noodle. Or, to put it more accurately, too inside of it.

Sub-zero. I think Steve McQueen is one of the coolest people ever, if it was good enough for him it must be sub-zero.

What? Haven't you previously stated multiple times that "car people" aren't cool? I'd definitely consider Steve McQueen a car person.

Sub Zero from me, how could it not be?

Scraping a low cool. I don't think it's particularly handsome and "Steve McQueen owned it" should be taken with a pinch of salt just as much as "Top Gear said it".

However, there is absolutely nothing uncool about the car, so I can't vote that way and it does have impressive specs, so... cool it is.

Steve McQueen and Top Gear should never be associated with one another as they are on opposite ends of coolness.

Well... he was an actor, first and foremost. A car-guy too, but that's not what most knew him for.

Remember, to most people Jay Leno is a talk show presenter. The fact he occasionally runs around LA in stuff made in the 1910s that runs on steam is inconsequential to his public perception.

> Poll: 1957 Jaguar D-Type.

So we've been voting on the race car version all along? Should have voted SU. :P

As for the XKSS, it's possibly the only car worthy of the garage that has a front end which looks like a gawking Espurr. By virtue of its most famous proprietor and the rest of the car having near-pornographic curves.

Easy Subzero, but a low one. For me, the fact that Steve McQueen owned one doesn't add any bonus points...
