Did they ever produce a 930 with the Speedster body style?
Nope. M503-type 3.2 Speedsters were built at the end of the 930's [long] run, but they were n/a cars with, at most, the Turbo look.

Looks like a Speedster to me: lowered roofline and rear deck. View attachment 507028
It's certainly a Speedster, but it's either not a 930 or it's a 930 that's been converted. Pre-964, only the 3.2 Carrera was offered with the M503 option. It could very easily be one of the "Turbo" 3.2s, though.

The 930 being only the turbo'd 'classic' (pre-964) 911, I'm pretty sure never had a Speedster version. Plenty were turbo-look widebodies, but not Turbos.

I was stuck between Cool and SZ. On balance, I've went with the latter. Meaner looking than the delicate earlier models (which are very pretty in their own way), but without being tacky like the current Rennsport cars. An utterly iconic shape.

Insanely cool.
Very valuable atm too.
Great car for any enthusiast or collector.

Uncool. Too 80's and too yuppie. Plus this guy owned one and I have to imagine this how most of the owners looked when it was new:

Now days, no idea, but I still don't think it's cool.

I'm sorry, but this car is by no means safe and cannot be handled by mere mortals, as James May proved in a special Top Gear series. It also looks like a frog. Much rather drive the most powerful 911 ever built:
425-1.jpg

Which is by the far the sexiest and meanest of them all. The bog standard version is uncool.

As most people on here will know by now, I'm a bit of a Porsche fan, but the 930 is the worst generation of 911 IMHO.

The overall shape is nice enough (classic 911), but the impact bumpers are ugly, as is the rear spoiler.

Plus the 930 isn't that nice to drive, and the Turbo is probably the worst of the lot... loads of lag, followed by instant instant turbo/torque WOOSH... not a good recipe for a rear engined car!

The earlier cars also retain a lightness and compliance in the way they drive. The 930 feels heavy and leaden. The 964, with power steering, gets the light feel back.

Cool on (unfounded) reputation alone.

Uncool for me.

I think the 5 MPH bumpers on this (and the contemporary Carrera) are one of the very rare cases where it dramatically improved the looks of the car, cleaning up the fussy detailing that the early 911s had.

Hmmmmm.... for me, this...

Is infinitely cleaner, and much nicer, than this...

The earlier cars are just so much prettier to my eyes... so clean and not ruined by spoilers and bumpers that appear to be stuck on.

I guess it's a matter of personal taste. Much like whether you prefer a LP400 Countach or a LP5000s. I'm a LP400 man.

The turbo lag on these is great.
Lazy 6 cylinder power that doesn't do much and then:

POOOWAAAAAAAAAH.

One of the funniest vehicles I have ever driven. Cool.

@Neddo Only if the option for users to change votes themselves is available. Which isn't the case with the Cool Wall poll format.
