I would definitely buy one should I have the money and age to do so. "Cool", but not "Sub Zero", as I don't see it going that far.

I know.

I also know you don't think your 305 Camaro is the fastest and best car ever made. (And I also concede that there's as many Mustang guys with that attitude as F-body guys)

No, its not the fastest but its fast enough to be fun. And in the end isn't that what matters? :sly: 👍

At the time, the car was an amazing value as well. Keeping things in perspective, there weren't many cars at the time that would have exceeded it dollar-for-dollar. Sure, 1993 changed the game completely with almost all the cars changing somehow in the segment, but this Mustang has likely remained a "classic" a little more easily with the timeless looks, the legendary 5.0L V8, and the like.

Plus, this car existed:

Which, in itself, should get a "Sub Zero" mark.

+1 on the Cobra. But do not forget the other awsome color that to this day is one of the best pony car colors...

TEAL!!!! FTMFW!

I'd prefer the LX 5.0 over the GT....

Much like this:

I voted cool. I almost got one as my first car rather than the Talon...

A friend of mine has a notchback like that, but light blue. Pretty quick car, but in my opinion they are only useful for drag racing, since you can probably buy your parts at WalMart and still get 500rwhp out of it.

This car doesn't strike me as "cool" at all and the reasons people are giving aren't helping it at all. Sure, sounds like it was good for several reasons..but good cars don't necessarily make cool cars. It seems to me this car needs to be viewed with nostalgia for it to seem cool.

It doesn't look great and it sounds like it hasn't got anything particularly interesting about its history or design.
I voted seriously uncool, just for being so utterly dull, especially considering its namesake.

I voted Seriously Uncool based on the fact it's just plain. When you see a Camaro or Firebird you know what they are because they have that look. However the 5.0 just had a generic look to it, it doesn't really say sports car.

Also this kind of works like jokes, if you have to explain it, it just isn't going to be funny/cool.

it has potential, and there were some cool versions, but imo as standard, pretty meh, i want to say cool, and it might be compared to some others but i cant see anything that would fully justify it.
this was cool though :sly:

Don't forget me!!!! the Mustang RS500 Cosworth SVO!

Okay, I WISH it had the cossie head...

Remember, specs don't matter whatsoever in these threads because if you have to explain it its not cool. Thus, looks only!

Yeah, the SVO is pretty cool if you ask me.

Now that I could seriously rock.

I voted sub-zero. You've got to give a car with its own rap song some love... "rollin in my five-point-oh...."

First off the title thread is a complete fail. That body style was from 1987 until 1993 with the 5.0. The new sn 95 body style was introduced in 1994, the following year 1995 was the last year for the 5.0 in a stang. The 5.0 was replaced with the 4.6

2 year thread dig and you can't spell Roush.

^What this guy said.

Pretty common knowledge that the 5.0 was discontinued for '96 and that the Fox did go to '93... Don't see why you felt the need to bring a thread up from 2009.

Edit: Rephrase, 5.0 discontinued in '96 for the Mustang, '01 absolute last year for it. Only OBDII 5.0 was that in the Explorer/Mountaineer.
