1994 McLaren F1

Currently on pace to beat the Miura đź‘Ť

Yep, and since I have no better place to share this piece of info. It is possible for a car to get a 2.000 even with a less than Sub Zero vote, it would take 1999 Sub Zero for each Cool, 3999 Sub Zero for each Meh, 5999 Sub Zero for each Uncool & 7999 Sub Zero for each SU

No matter what, super cars are seriously uncool. Plus thanks to seat in the middle it's impossible to get out of one without looking like an idiot.

I'm surprised this even gets a vote, of course it's sub-zero! It might be the coolest hyper car of all time.

Sure, fastest car in the world, but the fact it held the title for nearly 14 years, and it took all of the might of VW with the Bugatti Veyron to finally take it down, I think that's incredible.

I think it looks pretty, V12 engine, and the three seat cockpit is just awesome

Anyone who knows anything about cars must consider this sub-zero, I couldn't think of a single reason why not. Non-car people would probably be gushing and awing over the car if they saw it in the flesh.

Sure, fastest car in the world, but the fact it held the title for 8 years, and it took all of the might of Koenigsegg with the CCR to finally take it down, I think that's incredible.

Fixed. Even if the CCR held it for what felt like about 3 seconds.

Sub Zero, it's one of the most iconic supercars of all time, in this case I don't care that supercar=seriously uncool. I think the Miura has a new friend!

Wrong.

Ignoring some people's desire to differentiate between super cars and hyper cars, you've completely missed the point of "supercars are uncool."

Ferrari 458's, Lamborghini Murcielagos and the like are ostentatious. People buy them to flaunt wealth.

Nobody. Nobody buys and drives a McLaren F1 to flaunt wealth. It's not from a brand with enough recognition, it's far too expensive, it's from the 90's, and it doesn't look the part.

Plus thanks to seat in the middle it's impossible to get out of one without looking like an idiot.

Yeah look at this ponce, getting in the car in a perfectly normal fashion.

I know being a special snowflake is really important on the internet, but at least come up with a better excuse...

A supercar for people who love to drive. Also the fastest car in the world for a time, and one of the most iconic of the "fastest cars in the world." Sub Zero.

If @JMoney689 were still here, he'd vote Cool because nothing can beat the Miura in his mind
Seriously uncool because no Vee Eight Motor.

I think it is sub zero, no question. It's beautiful, not flashy, very advanced for it's time and has a wonderful engine.

It's also tiny by modern supercar standards. And yet it seats 3 and has a big V12. It is a brilliant design by a brilliant designer.

Never really taken with the way the F1 looks (though I like how small it is compared to other 'Supercars'), or heard anyone particularly compliment the way it drives (eg; too softly suspended, brakes not very good) but it's an engineering marvel built without consideration for costs.

And the engine is a thing of wonder.

No car is ever perfect, and the F1 is no exception. Plus it's overhyped and overrated to the point of being seriously uncool.

HOWEVER

I have immense respect for what it managed to achieve back in the 90's and still achieves today. Cool.

Wrong.

Hyper cars became different from super cars in early 00s when Koenigsegg and Veyron were new. McLaren F1 wasn't because it was only car in its league.
Ferrari 458's, Lamborghini Murcielagos and the like are ostentatious. People buy them to flaunt wealth.

It might be just where I live, but McLaren is quite known name because of their achiements in F1 racing. F1 looks just as flashy as Lamborghini Diablo to me, so it isn't really subtle car either. It may be that nobody buys F1 to show off, but that doesn't mean anything if the people who see the car think that way. Note that I live in country where someone buying Bentley Continental is enough to get in national news, car that gets in national news isn't cool.

Yeah look at this ponce, getting in the car in a perfectly normal fashion.
Actually that looks much easier than I thought it would.

I don't try to be special. Actually I voted before I looked other votes and to be honest it wasn't very good idea. But I'm voting based on how big tool you would look in the car and in this one, quite big.

Just don't care about SuperDuperHyper cars like I used to. This is one rate higher, but only as high as "meh".

I went sub-zero

I'm not a fan of the car as much as the engine... some say 850CSi, others say Multiple Le Mans wins :D

The most insane supercar from a time when supercars weren't that much of an ostentation display as they are now. Start of an era, and it has somehow managed to stay true to roots and appeal only to real enthusiasts and not lovers of flash. One of a handful of production-based race cars to ever win LeMans, and practically the only one in modern times to do so (sorry, XJ220). Sub Zero.

Changed opinion on this many times, from uncool to cool to sub zero. Was originally going for uncool due to it being a bit of a 'shouty' car, but then realized considering it's achievements it is incredibly understated and discrete car, compared to lets say, an F40. While I'd imagine it'd be somewhat hard picking up chicks due to it's odd seating arrangement, which isolates the driver from any passenger making the people there, especially chicks, feel like an afterthought. In the end it is a race car and record holding car for the street, but almost as practical as a 911.

Sub zero.

Maybe I should reword that. Picking up chicks would be no problem, them staying with you is a different matter. :P

But you could pick up 2 :dopey:

They'd be just about sitting behind you- not very romantic. :P

No. Not even the F1 will beat the Miura. Nothing will beat the Miura.

On topic: Sub-freaking-zero.
