There's a little bit more to it than that. The ES actually has softer springs, more sound deadening and features (hence why it weighs a bit more than a Camry), and a higher general quality both exterior and interior, in that general Lexus way.

Is it ugly? Yes, hence why my vote is Uncool. But is it just a rebadged expensive Camry? Not quite.

That's true. It's more accurate to say it was just an Avalon with most of the option boxes ticked that didn't look like a rolling coffin (but instead looked like some sort of horrible RX300 sedan).

People throw the "rebadge" title at things like the myriad cars built on the Golf's platform, when they have at least that much done to them. Rebadge it is!

No, everybody's entitled to an opinion but the weight of that opinion seems to be against the Prius.
