These actually look really good in natural light and darker colors.

900hp Ferrari? Seems subzero to me. I'm not a hipster.

Wait let me get this straight those of us who voted uncool or SU are now hipsters?

I think it already falls in category of "hyper" along side the 1000+bhp things. Which to me it's even more uncool, specially if it's a Ferrari

Haven actually driven Ferrari's, they live up to the hype. Yeah, it's not an F40, no it doesn't have a manual trans, but damn it pulls at my emotions like a Ferrari should.

Here we go again.

It's not the Horsepower Wall. It's not the Quality Wall. It's not the Motorsport Heritage Wall. It's not the "I like it" Wall. It's not the "It should be fun to drive" Wall.

It's the COOL Wall. Being an obnoxious and attention grabbing elitist isn't cool, and that's what this car screams about it's driver when it's parked in front of a cafe in Paris.

If you like baseless assumptions, yeah.

I see a car like this and the only thing I'd know is the owner owns a Ferrari. Besides, only really lame cars are cool/uncool because of their driver(s)/owner(s)/whatever(s).

EDIT

painting it one color makes it a completely different car. The one in the first post looks awful.

Sorry, I don't understand how a 900 horsepower supercar isn't cool. Even with a stupid name.

Sorry I don't understand how one qualifies as a hipster due to your inability to agree that some people might find it uncool. Better yet the idea on a single point that somehow justifies it being cool it's power, isn't the overall end all way some of us vote. That's usually left to the likes of Slashfan and the OP that rant about V8 power making it automatically cool and a few others that cling to figures like a newborn to a mother. There are many reason I don't like it:

1. Class comparison, there is the P1 and the 918. Which have done a better job to me in molding a car (especially the Porsche) into something that isn't screaming to you "I'm secretly a race car in disguise" and was even tested with a race car engine late last year and earlier this year. Also look at the hybrid systems as well and you'll see who the better is.

2. I study engineering have friends that I've known for a decade now that are engineers or in school with me...none of us talking about our work qualifies as cool other than to us in that group. Same goes for this car, someone breaking down the aero design and PU elements from F1 is uncool.

3. It's a halo car which is probably worse than your run of the mill supercar, it's more gody and over the top and the clients are usually rich oil backed tycoons from far off lands. Who's people live the ideal plebeian lives, thus not ideal. Which also makes the car uncool.

4. The name, which makes sense because it only inflates the ego of those who will buy it. Not Cool

5. The looks, quite simply I just can't get behind them as much as a 288 GTO or a F40 or Enzo even, all cars with a now established legacy in automotive history. This is just pandering at the moment.

6. Hyper cars by nature for the most part are just uncool.

Then ignorance sets in and you decide rather than question, you want to group them into something that I can assure you most of the people who did vote it the way you wouldn't have aren't "hipsters".

The fact that this pulls are you heart strings or whatever the hell those are, and you have some emotional vestment in this thing already, seems more hipster than me or someone saying this is uncool.

Going faster is a cooler use of hybrid tech than being more economical, despite what another poster said - but they still had to show deference to the greenies and that delivers a big hit to this car's coolness.

Economy is fine, the more Priuses there are, the more gas there is for cars that need it. The problem here is the hybrid system is probably making it slower more than anything at the end of the day. I'd rather they take out the weight and then use the money saved by taking out more weight.

Upper cool from me, I like the looks and I like the performance, and I like Ferraris in general. The hipster argument is funny. I must admit I don't really get why so many people are down on it either and it does often smack of being deliberately contrary, but that's kinda amusing. "Because Ferrari" seems an odd argument to me. Yeah Ferrari, renowned for being poor/dull/uncool cars right? Ooookay.

Wow you guys take this seriously. It really doesn't take that much thought. If I saw one going down the road I'd think it was cool. Cool vs. uncool doesn't have that many variables for me.

That's you, and if you don't take it so seriously then why call people hipsters? Seems a bit contradictory if you don't care that much

Because, among the supercar manufacturers, has an image problem. It's the brand most likely to be driven by a snobby, balding, golf-playing, $20,000-watch-wearing stockbroker, and its vast array of overpriced branded merch, its theme park in the UAE, etc. doesn't help. A Lamborghini seems slightly more "new money", at least to me.

Fair enough, as I've said before I guess to me "coolness" equates to how good something is, or how much I like it. In its original form it seems an antiquated notion for me, something that died out with the Fonz. In a funny kind of way, something or someone who is consciously "cool" isn't, by default. So here I can only really vote on how much I like a car, it's totally subjective.

Stupid name. Doesn't look that great. But still a mild cool in my book.

Would rather take a 918.

Wow. I thought I was here for the P1 but this cars really got so many SU votes? I am really one of the very few 5 people that voted Sub Zero?

Fricking hell. If anything, if anyone would have the put the P1 in teh cool wall, SU instantly. That doesn't look cool, while this does. To me, ofcourse.

Cool ONLY because this may be the last monster V12 Ferrari.. It mates an N/A V12 to brilliant hybrid technology.

In 10 years though, regulations might deem cars like this to the history books. This might be the very last "true" Ferrari of this type. Ever.
