Seriously Uncool

Driving these down the street... you'd look like a massive try hard. 'Nuff said.

"But it can't even do 2 laps of the Nordschleife flat out before it runs out of juice. And then takes 20 hours, at 220V, to recharge again."

And this is why I hate electric cars. (Except the Tesla Model S, I love that one.)

Seriously uncool.

Just squeaks a cool for me - I like unnecessary silliness. A normal SLS colour would be better, but not enough for sub-zero.

Any car with a 120 mile range is uncool.

Yet you voted the original Mini a sub-zero :P

Well, as with all petrol/diesel cars, you can at least 're-charge' them in a matter of minutes rather than tens of hours or even days. ;)

Cool.

Makes the SLS even more crazy fast than it already was. Also, fancy new technology.

I understand that but personally i think that ruins the fun of it and if a supercar isnt fun what is the point of having it altogether? :-)

Spoken by someone with zero experience of it...

On the other hand, a full "re-charge" of a regular SLS costs what, £150 maybe (in the UK, obvs)? The SLS Electric Drive is probably about a fortieth of that...

Yeah, but the €222k premium over the cost of a regular SLS buys you an awful lot of Shell V-Power.

As if fuel price is much of an issue for your average SLS owner.

Just sayin'. As if charging time is much of an issue either - I'm sure they'd have a few other toys to play with...

Don't get me wrong, if I was a rev-head, who was also a hippy, who won the lottery... i would consider buying one before I went and got a few Teslas instead. It's a road legal science experiment, looks awesome and is wicked fast, which brings it up to cool. I just cant give anything more to something that cant get me to my nearest capital city.

Edit: Missed the poll deadline, tsk tsk tsk
