True.

But when most think of an "Eleanor" Mustang, they think of the '67 GT500 from the Nicholas Cage version. Not the '73 Mach 1 from the original movie. (Still part of the first gen, but totally different body style)

For me, it's definitely only cool.

I really like them, and they are fantastic cars, but somehow being a classic like this doesn't make it "cool." But I think a nicely modified one would be cool.

Sub-Zero. I would love to have one in my garage right now. There is nothing offensive about this car, aside from those wheel covers pictured perhaps, but a set of Torque Thrust wheels and it would be more than good to go.

This car gave us all the sweet Pony cars from there on. The Camaro, 'Cuda, Challenger, :DCougar:D. But more than just those cars, it gave us multiple generations of cool cars, It also spawned so many awesome models of future Mustangs I wont even bother to try and list them. I am very thankful for the Mustang, being as it's November, I guess it's time to start thing about that now anyways.

Seriously Uncool. Sorry but it's my car's main competitor, and even though the Mustang far outsold it, the Barracuda came out two weeks earlier :P

Kinda funny that the first pony car was a fish, lol.

Driven by every old fart trying to relive his youth. Uncool just like them.

I'm guessing you will want to relive your youth if you can once you are old, too. And that would make you uncool? No. It's called nostalgia. And if you are human, you will have it.

Maybe...maybe not. There's some old farts who do nothing but look to the future...most I can think of are astrophysicists, but...

Cool, I have always been more of a fan of the higher performance versions(Shelby, Boss, Mach 1, etc.) of Mustangs. This is one of my favorite cars of the 60's though.

I should say it's seriously uncool. I mean, it was massively sold and it's main target customer were secretaries and female teenagers:

Actually... it was made for the American people. For John Doe, Jane Doe, their hotrodding nephew and everyone else on the block. And it was available with more options than you could shake a Porsche at. This was the automotive iPod of the 60's.

Definitely, a cool car 👍.

Cooler... much cooler... :D

All the words that I was going to say have already been spoken about this car.

I'll just add another SUB-ZERO.

It was the first pony car that hit it big. It has always been one my favorite cars.

SUB-ZERO

One of the greatest cars ever made no doubt, a magnificent leap forwards and certainly a cool car. That said, it doesn't call out to me as much as the models just a few years later in terms of styling. It's very close but I can't in all good consciousness vote this car sub zero for that reason, it just doesn't push all the right buttons for me in it's shape and I'm not much of a badge man. Difficult to explain myself on this one, so don't call me up on to much .

This is Absolute Zero all the way down to its subatomic particles; so much cleaner than the "Phase II" first gens from '67 on. I'll take a 2+2 289 Hi-Po with a four on the floor. 👍

Cheers,
Jetboy

The only reason why I'd say this is uncool is because this generation, correct me if I'm wrong, was the one that featured the absolute blasphemy of putting an RB26DETT in a Mustang in F&F Tokyo Drift. Sub-Zero otherwise, although I prefer the looks of the '67 Fastback.

Eh for most of the driving sequences it had a V8, it was just the installation and hoodless shots that had the RB.

F&F4 had the F-Bomb Camaro and a Ford RS200. Still doesn't make either of those cars even remotely uncool.

That was a '67 Fastback.
