GTP F1 World championship. *PS3* Interest.F1 2010-2016

As the previous thread started was a non starter and is now banned for an illegal account I will take the liberty in creating the interest thread for the GTP championship.

WE dont know all the online options, only that we can choose the car performances, i.e real or all equal, and stuff like dynamic weather is all translated over in to online as well for some intense online racing.

It is 12 players online, all options such as qualifying rules and race lengths etc will be decided once the game is released and the online season grows nearer.

We should realistically look to start it around October give everyone a chance to get the game and get a feel for it. Again, when the races are run will also need to be decided eunanimously so we can have a day and time that suits all. Sunday nights 10pm GMT are a possibility but thats just a throw out we shall decide that nearer the time.

Don't forget this is a multi-plat game so thinking everyone is gonna end up with a PS3 version is probably a little presumptuous.

Also as far as organization goes, it is probably a good idea to involve at some point one of the veterans from the F1:CE championships.

I agree, this is coming out on X-Box and PC as well.

Yes and yes .

Just thinking that all the organizational and operational experience you guys gained while running/participating in all the CE championships would be invaluable to the new game's event organizers. Maybe they were already aware of those threads but JIC I wanted to point them out.

I based it on PS3 as I assume the forums hold a majority PS3 owners (myself included). Don't rule out a 360/PC one but I wont be fronting those ones.

I may also PM a few vets for some advice and an invite for sure.

I've been involved in 2 NTSC F1CE championships, and I'm in the PAL Championship going on now. I'm very interested in racing you guys online, especially in a championship season.

FYI, I'm in the US, under Eastern Standard Time, so that means its 5 hours earlier here than in the UK.

This game is gonna be sweet, I can hardly wait. 👍

Okay, we don't know much about the settings for online, but of course, all cars must be equal online, we can't go with the real performances. Damage should be on of course, with collisions on as well. Hopefully F1 2010 won't have poor online collision judgment as F1:CE does. Driving aids, Traction control should be off, it would really make races interesting and the cars a bigger challenge to drive, Anti Lock Brakes should be allowed, dynamic racing line allowed, and steering and braking assists disallowed.

Like you said, race distance should be decided when the game actually comes out, but i'd love to go full distance. We also don't know anything about damage online, whether you will be retired from the race for serious damage or be reset back on track. Hopefully it's the latter, as I would not like to get knocked out on lap 1 and be forced to spectate the remainder of the race. We'll see.

I'll be getting the game too. Might be able to make it to a few races. I'm at college so internet connection together with sharing my PS3 with house mates is a problem, but I should be able to make it to a few races as a stand in for people missing, so give priority to others. Also Ardius is the person your looking for if you want help setting things up, he organised and kept records on several F1:CE championships.

I think we should have a time attack at the start of the season, say at catulunya or something and split it in to 2 or 3 leagues, but we would need another host out of the 2nd twelve. I'd say we would have 3 different leagues.
