Just so everyone is aware, I probably won't be posting a registered drivers list this season. There are so many people signed up it would take a whole afternoon to make one.

Also an update, and this may change, but as everyone probably noticed from the date at the end of the teaser rounds will still take place on Tuesday nights, with qualifying taking place the Saturday before.

Sorry this just isn't possible for me, please remove me from the list. Good luck to everyone else competing.

I can't blame people for being lazy? My posts are always close the last few pages. It's not hard to look for my most recent posts. There's also a search function. And I don't want to post info like that on the OP where anyone looking at it can mess with peoples entry's.

It's really not difficult, and it's REALLY annoying getting multiple PM's a day asking the same questions. This is getting dangerously close to becoming an invite only comp. My life doesn't revolve around GT5, drifting, or hosting this comp. I do it because I enjoy it, and right now I'm not enjoying people's lack of effort to find the info and my inbox being blown up needlessly.

Welcome to the status of a major competition on GTP. Lol. If people are asking question of what okay or not okay for the comp, Im pretty sure that should be in the op. Its the only way to stop people from asking.

It's not people asking what is or isn't ok. It's people constantly asking me to update their entry's, asking when it's going to start, etc. Stuff I've covered in my recent posts. I would never get frustrated or annoyed with legitimate questions.

Now that I've thought about it some more though, it may be a good idea to make this invite only. It would weed out the noobs trying to enter and would fill the comp with quality drivers. There will be no visual or mechanical damage. In the past we have always run no tire wear, it will probably remain that way but with the new tire wear it may be turned on. Something that is still waiting to be discussed, but for now it's no tire wear.

Yeah. Then you have just a room full of say "PROs" and that does get boring.

Do a rigorous qualifier instead of invite only. People want to see interesting and exciting things, especially with hybrids now available. You'll lose that novelty if you make it invite only.

That was the plan, but that also will require more time which I don't have a lot of. That also means allowing people who have just popped up and leaves more room for people who haven't earned a reputation or any trustworthiness and might cheat.

Then do a recommendation requirement. Each member needs a unique recommendation from another member either you approve of having a good opinion or has been involved with formula drift before.

Please read my posts. Invitation and recommendation are different things. An invitation is closed-doors. You decide who is allowed in based on internal opinion. Recommendation is open doors. You let in anyone that has someone else (team, sponsor, member) backing them. The difference is that one promotes who you and other participants want, the other is based on what teams and notable audience want.

It's not gonna be the same people. Most guys on here are affiliated with teams, and most teams are already involved. NEMESIS, MLD, Burst, RSM, etc. So new guys could be invited by their team members. But I see your point about new guys who may not have a team, so I'll probably set up a "license day" like I talked about before. If you show enough skill and it's deemed you're not cheating, then you can obtain a license to qualify.
