I tried to go practice but could not find the practice event. What am I doing wrong?

I also tried to use the practice event and when I clicked on open room got the msg "event no longer available" :banghead:
The update probably killed it.

Apparently Update 1.16 Screwed up Club Events system wide.

I deleted everything and started from scratch.

All members should have access now.

GTP-Geezers Event 28 Feb 2015 @ 14:00 EST. I will open the event room @ 13:00 EST for practice.

La Sarthe 2009 with chicanes.
Track time is 14:00 with 1X progression.
Hope to see yah'll there.

Additional rooms may be opened if needed, there will be a runoff of the top 8, 5, or 4 from each room.

I believe that should be 11AM PDT,, so unless my sweet Wife springs something on me I'll be there Doc,, and Thank YOU bud for getting something going again for the GEEZER Club!!

My laptop went kaput :banghead: so I've not been online with it for a few days, but my adopted IT engineer Son finally found some time to dig in and fix 'ol Dad's toy and YIPPEE SKIPPEE!! I'm back onboard now. :) Sure missed seeing what's going on with the guys of GEEZER Club the last few days I'm here to tell yas!!:gtpflag:

I'll look for and hopefully find the practice room and log sum laps today. Thanks again!!

Ohh and by the by,, has ANYONE seen or heard from our old buddy Wauk lately?? According to my Friends List he's not logged in to PS3 or GT6 for 12 days,, something MUST be happening in the land of WaukaZoo other than 3 to 4" of snow to keep him away. I'm sending him an email this morning to ask - "ARE YOU OK BUD?" Sure do hope so!!!

GEEZERS RULE! :gtpflag:

Should be fixed now. I must have left the page too soon as it failed to publish as public.
Too cool Doc! That's a gr8 "How It's Dun" video.. Someday I just have to learn how you guys do that! Does it take a video capture card or ome other sort of high zoot equipment to do that and HOW to you guys upload them to the message string? Yep, I'm one of those computer dummy's (:banghead:) but it sure is cool  how you guys put those videos on the GEEZER message string!! 👍👍

Lord willing and the creek don't rise I'll see all you GEEZER's at La Sarthe!!

Thanks to Dr, Papa, and all the drivers for a great afternoon of racing. 👍 Told the wife I would be about an hour.... 3 hours later!!!:nervous: but :gtpflag:wins.

Missed the race too.
Did one on my own afterwards, same Mazda Vision, same track (light rain in the last lap ?) and two pitstops. I compared my total time to the times you guys set in the race.
I was convinced I would set a faster time, while I was all alone and did a string of hotlaps, not bothered by other cars, not having to look in the mirror etc...

I missed a gear which made me spin and that costed me 10" to get out of the kitty litter and one 3" penalty at the first chicane. For the rest the laps did not feel bad at all, except the last lap where at the end of the straight the fuel light turned red and I started some early shifting which brought me just to the finish (That may have costed me another 8-10 seconds, so I figured I could have done 30" faster in the race)

So then I went looking at the race result board and discovered that my time would have set me second to last, (more than 2' behind - about 12" a lap slower) last place being a DNF :scared::confused::boggled::nervous::ouch:

Are you guys all aliens ?
Or am I missing a point here ?
Please enlighten me :D

The kitty litter and a few walls claimed several victims, Fuel concerns claimed Pepper along with a room sync issue where P-Wiink ahead of him failed to display on his leader board.
I set the room up as a non-fixed Host & there were issues, next time it's Fixed Host all the way, not to say that is a guarantee either as the whole room is at risk of crashing if the host gets dumped.

I enjoyed hosting it.

First a big thanks to doc for setting this up, as always, there were plenty of groans and "ahhh! &%$#" and other expletives during the race.
Do you have a decent tune on the car would be my first question. That made all the difference for me. Praino has a tune that suits me well, with the change in brake bias complements of Clock Doc that helped me delay my brake points. I use 4/6. Next of course is practice. Learning the braking points is top of the list. Perhaps Doc can reopen the practice room for those of us that enjoy running the track the way he intended. PS - There was no rain.

P.M.

Did I have a decent tune ? I guess not. I don't like the vision cars very much, so apart of a few tweaks... Top speed seemed OK.
I made it in the top 300 during the Toyota seasonal on La Sarthe, so I think I know the circuit rather well. :)

What strikes me is that you had no rain...
My guess is that I have been riding in different conditions... (I hope :scared:) which would be weird ?

I opened an encore event for your enjoyment. It will remain open till 00:00 9 March 2015, have at it.

Thanks Doc for setting up the race at La Sarthe & thanks to the Geezers that showed up.:cheers:

Some of us ran 2 impromptu 13 lap races with the new Mini VGT at Midfield forward & reverse.

Great fun, as always. 👍👍👍👍👍👍 :gtpflag:

'Ol Duce is joining the others in saying THANK YOU Doc  and THANK YOU Papa  for hosting some fun racing!! :) 👍👍 I didn't place as well as I thought perhaps I would,, but hey,, that's racing - AND - I'll just have to invest more seat time for the next GEEZER event! ;) If I do that, maybe, just maybe I can inch a little further up the leader boards!

As always, GEEZERS RULE! :gtpflag:

First of all... many thanks, but as usual, I have a stupid question:
Took me long to find the event but found it.
Then I wanted to join, but the darn thing said there is an event going on currently, but I could open a room... blah blah...
So I opened a room and finally hit 10 rounds in Le Mans, but I was alone!
I thought this is intended for sort of online-racing, but I love Le Mans and the car is good fun, but essentially I'm not really looking through the whole thing!
Could you (shortly) enlighten me?
Thanks again!
