Good days racing again today geezers.
Next week will be the Volkswagen beetle cup car fully tuned for all three stages.
I will announce the track tomorrow when i know what it is called.
For the fourth week of the geezer event papa will tell us what car it is and the result will determine which car you will drive for a special event in the planning stage for that weekend. 7/11/2015 Needless to say it will have a mix of fast cars and not so fast cars.

Stewy news

Geezer 1791 takes 2 podiums

In an unprecedented meeting of LMP cars he forged his way to the front end of the pack to claim 2nd place on the podium.

In the third race he did the same but was beaten into third place this time.

So it's a well done to him for the placings.

An anonymous source has called for ballast to be used if he gets more podiums but it will be put in his car when he's not watching.

Another source said "let his tyres down", i pointed out that would be unfair ,just two would do.

Again there was mayhem at a later meeting held out in the countryside, this time Citroen 2cv's were used.

Police would like any information leading to the arrest of these hooligans, especially if your neighbour has been seen putting a battered

old 2 cv in his garage under cover of

darkness.

Breaking news

A man in the UK has been arrested for intent to supply Citroen 2 cv,s To a gang of hooligans from the UK ,USA and

Canada.

This would seem to be a problem started in the UK and slowly spreading worlwide.

A source says they call themselves
GEEZERS

The arrested man said in a statement to police "wern't me guvnor"

:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

I just thought I'd report on a conversation with Bob. His actual name is "B-Spec Bob", but I call him Bob for short.

Like us, he's a Geezer. Exactly the same age as I am, which is a strange coincidence. But I digress.

My better half was given a 1962 Mazda Carol 360 for her birthday. She's younger than Bob and me, by the way. Anyway, Bob looked at this tiny underpowered relic of a previous era and said "I'd like to drive one of those in the 24 Hours ("Minutes", he meant, I'm sure), of the Nurburgring."

Before he could change his mind, I bought one, and with no mods handed it over to him. I did ask him to treat it gently, it's old and it's probably a death trap in a prang. I like Bob.

Anyway, after about 40 minutes into the 24, I feared the worst, but a while later, Bob arrives and unfolds himself from what looks like a most uncomfortable seat. The interior on this car is called "simple" for a reason.

We sat down to discuss the experience, and here's how the conversation went after the usual pleasantries.

Me: How'd it go, Bob, what's that car like?
Bob: Well, it's not very quick it seems. (Bob never rushes to judgement)

Me: How fast did it go?
Bob: Unassisted, I did see 78 miles per hour going down the Fox Hole. Of course, he means "Fuchsröhre", but his German is very limited.

Me: 78 mph doesn't sound TOO bad, but hang on, what do you mean "unassisted"?
Bob: I'll get to that, but yes, 78 is OK, however a lot of hills saw me down to about 30, and that long climb up to the Carousel (Karussell) was a beast.

Me: I'll bet that got a bit boring. What was the Karussell like? (Notice how I show off my command of the German language here. With Bob, I like to act superior since I am his boss)
Bob: I found the Carousel a bit daunting. The handling on the Carol is frightening. I wish you'd told me that you were too cheap to put decent tires or any suspension upgrades on it. And the brakes, well.....
(He trailed off here remembering something that happened out there in the dark no doubt).
I was cautious on the Carousel, took it at 22 mph. In retrospect, I should have taken it a bit quicker, since the next uphill section is very steep. Dropped back to 10 mph there. That was when they started lapping me.

Me: Of course, the other cars were a little faster than you.
Bob: You can say that again.

Me: Of course, the other cars were a little faster than you.
Bob: (Ignoring my witticism) I said I'd explain the "unassisted" bit. Here I am grinding up the hill and cars are swinging by until one of them crashes straight into me, giving me a big boost and some whiplash, I might add. Then he tucks in behind, and none-to-gently starts pushing me up the hill. The Carol's motor is screaming, and so am I, while the speedo is reading about 83 mph. Uphill! Actually, it might have been more than 83, but the vibrations made it hard to read the instruments. Then he pulls out, getting bored with the game, he flies by and the next one crashes into me as well.

Me: Wow, did they all do that?
Bob: No, just two. That's enough.

Me: And how come you got back so late?
Bob: I'm proud of that. Since I squeaked in under 24 minutes, I got to do a second lap! In retrospect, that was a mistake. I'll never complain that GT6 doesn't have a proper endurance race. 47+ minutes in a Carol was enough!

Me: Do you want to do it again?
Bob: Sure thing!

Thanks Geezer1791 but in my table with this car there was only 11 geezers. There are 3 with the last car.So you has 11 points and all the others with 12 points:cheers:.Its correct?
:guilty::guilty: My mistake, it was late :banghead: There were 12 Geezers participating this time, the 10 listed + GZR_GTsail & GZR_Geezer1791. I did not type the prefix GZR_ for all names and pepper_mallard is veda9947 for the GZR_ events. I think the ID's listed in the 1st post of this thread are correct. :dunce:

Good work :) but why not consider Susuka first week as your report 2589:confused:

Maybe @geezer1791 forgot that 1 ?
I tried to forget that one, I thought everyone would rather forget an event that had that much confusion. I did post results in Report 2589, but did not include the points in the accumulated standings because it was only one car. The results are there, you are welcome to add the points to the GT Arena Points if you wish, but I think that would be apples and aardvarks. I plan to Post Results for each TT, so we will have 2 Mot's GZR TT accumulated points results each 4 weeks. :)

Repeatable weird stunt:

I had created a 6+ mile track in the Eifel hills where I could race the 800+ PP cars. Wide, high banking with some regular and wide sweeping turns. It includes long gentle bends over the hills and down into the valleys that can be run wide open. I was running the Tomahawk X Vision Grand Turismo at top speed with R3 pushed to bring the flaps in and -----} I PASSED THE RACING LINE!!!

The game or the PS3 couldn't generate the Racing Line fast enough!!!

After playing with it I determined that the Racing Line can run about 337 mph and if I was faster, I would out run it and as I slowed, it would eventually catch up with me. If I was running really fast, like 400 mph for a while, it would take quite awhile for it to catch up. This is easy to duplicate at the Special Stage Route X in Single Player Arcade Mode Running the 964 PP Tomahawk with R3 held in.

Have fun!

Stewy news

Breaking news.

An older driver possibly one of the infamous geezer hooligan squad

{although this has not been confirmed yet} say sources, won todays inaugural race at
Tuscany road course.

The driver @elgcee42 was swapping paint althrough the race with a driver believed to be one of the
Geezer hooligan squad.

Despite the massive police presence today at Tuscany there was absolute carnage at the meeting.
Citroen 2 CV cars were not used today as the man suspected of supplying 2 Cv's was still in custody.
Instead they stole police cars and smashed them up and terrorised an old fella out for a Saturday drive in his tank car.

It is believed that the man in his tank car has gone to join the Geezer hooligan squad but this is as yet unconfirmed.

Police have just released a statement saying the man arrested with Citroen 2CV's has been released,
they believed him when he said it "wern't me guvnor i found them in the river".
When asked what river he said the "River Thames" police are looking into it and have found more 2CV's and they also found four smashed up police cars, they are still trying to work out where 4 police cars came from.

It is now confirmed the old fella driving his tank car today has been taken hostage by the
Geezer Hooligan Squad.
A statement issued by a man from the Geezer Hooligan Squad it "wern't us guvnor."
sounds suspicious to me.
more next week.

I agree. I only said that because Jota asked. Honestly, I don't think that qualified as a GZR car & shouldn't count.

It was just a futile exercise. :banghead:

From now on, only cars up to 1971 will be considered GZR cars.

If none of those cars will qualify for a TT, then there will be NO car picked.

One futile exercise shouldn't stop 4 possible TT's ? Could we have smaller PP for GZR cars and bigger PP for car above 71 till
end of 80's lot of nice cars ?

GZR_mots63

I think that the Art Morrison Corvette was made for the 2006 SEMA show so the game probably is treating it as a newer "special" car, and not as a 1960 car.

However, I think that for our Geezer TT purposes we could consider it a 1960 car. It is a "tuner" car so it won't be eligible for most non-racecar time trials, but maybe it will be eligible for something eventually. It is a blast to drive!
