Man! FINALLY the forums are back up. I've run about 40 laps and I don't think that I can get my time much, if any lower.

I know that on my fastest lap, there are sections that I can run quicker, but I can't seem to put all my quickest sections together any better.

I'll go ahead and PM the times.

Got your times 👍

Btw, your signature is my life :grumpy:

And, to make it a great day, I have lost the piece of paper that had my Deep Forest sector times on it 👎

PS2 is something that I'd like to have, but my money goes everywhere else...mostly into my real car rather than cars that I play with in a game (as much as I love them).

I've played GT3 on friends' PS2s, and the graphics are outstanding...however, I don't really see the different vehicle dynamics as being better and I still love the large selection of cars on GT2.

Sector times are nice to have, but post your fastest lap time even if you don't have them. I, for one, would like to see it.

Well, I managed a very impressive time while the forums were down. Then I discovered I was running on Midfield, and this race was supposed to be Deep Forest.
:ouch:  :dunce:

Doh!

So, went to work on Deep Forest.

💡

There isn't a whole lot more left in this one, and given this weekend is LeMans, chances are I won't get more laps in.

Good Luck guys.

I bit the bullet and bought a PS2 this weekend. I wont get GT3, as that is pointless with GT4 hopefully just months away. GT2 will just have to do for now :)

Fogel! Usually a lap or two is enough for you to clean up anyway ;) I ran my fatest laps, and was chuffed with my time. Then I discovered I was running a 336hp S2000, not a 364hp one :grumpy: If I get the time to run more laps with full power I will 👍

Found my sector times in my lunchtin....

Um, oxigen and 300fan have yet to submit times. Will hold off posting results a day or two to give em a chance.

Final 2 is up 👍

SORRY! :scared: :guilty: I completely forgot about submitting my times, I apologize for holding everyone else up.

The ZZII with 588HP (i think) that is worth a million credits is the car for this round. :)

Right, 300fan has his time in - no sweat about the late submission, the downtime last week sort messed a lot of people up - and oxigen said he will have a time in the next few hours.

Right Final One times up. Fogel waltzes it yet again - well done 👍 - and things are pretty bunched up in the middle, time wise.

I just couldnt put a clean lap together. All my individual fastest sectors came to about a 1.08:5, but I was forever making a mistake somewhere on a lap...

Congrats to everyone on a good run at Deep Forest, and finally, the Championship is all tied up. Two rounds left for all the marbles. :scared:

**Note the ZZ II is not a car that you can purchase at the dealership. It is a prize car that you win in the GT All Stars Race #4.

Hope that Helps.

I took it out for a few laps this morning. The car is SUPER twitchy at speed, but speed it does have.

Final: Round 3 up. One of my favourite cars, so maybe I can sneak a 1st

That sounds like a challenge, that I'll take. :D

Meanwhile, this ZZII at Midfield is something else. I did a few laps this morning before work, and it was a chore being clean for a full lap. In fact, 10 laps and nothing worthwhile.

Just wondering for times that we post do we put in our fastest lap time or can we put up our theoritical time which is all the fastest sectors put together and by the way that laguna seca time I posted up is with the Cusco

You post your fastest lap time.

If I put up my theoretical best, I'd kill you all........... hehe...:sly:

Yeah! After more than 50 consecutive laps, I'm still not too happy. It's definitely a tough car to be consistent with. Smooth control will reward the driver with fast times, but little mistakes can cause huge losses.

👍

I managed 14 laps last week and I beat my previous best at the track, set in the Calibra :indiff: . As socal said, it is so easy to lose time hanging the back out or getting on the brakes too late.

So far only socal, oxigen have submitted a time 👍

Touge - your best lap, not a collection of your best sector times.

Times up. Well done to everyone. Very fast times indeed. I lost all my time in the hairpin-left before the final tunnel. I could just not get it right. I either carried too much speed in and understeered, or braked too early and milled around the apex for too long. Then when i did get it right, it was on a coasting lap due to a spin elsewhere

Incidentally I clocked a top speed of 310.8kmh on the pit straight, much faster then of some of the speeds you chaps send in :D

That Clio better obey its master

That last hairpin-left is indeed a tricky one. I have some experience with it from my numerous fast-lap practice sessions with different cars plus some drifting practice.

It's the first difficult turn I was able to successfully apply drifting to in an otherwise grip run.

With the TommyKaira, I come with a 4wheel drift to the left through the chicane while downshifting from 5th to 4th, and then on the brakes I shift weight forward and pivot the rear out to the right as I take it into 3rd and drift around (very cautiously onto the gas with this car). If I can do it perfectly, I can stay in 3rd all the way through. Even though the revs drop a bit, it's okay because the rear end will step out quickly if you have too much power on. I sometimes need to drop all the way to 2nd, but I've found it best to always get back into 3rd to pull through and head into the tunnel.

I don't believe I sent in my top speed. It was in the 195 mph range, which is just north of 315km/h.

A 59.6 was possible here, but it was mostly the first corner that was difficult to get right. I was only shifting down to 4th gear, and it is very difficult to not have the car swap ends trying to get it through the corner at that speed. My submitted lap was a full six tenths slower through sector one, then an ideal time. I only made it through turn one a couple of times at that speed..

Congrats on the runs, and now time for the Clio.

I didn't send in my top speed either but it was around 191 or 192 but oh well. I didn't excpect to score so high because that laptime to me wasn't as fast as i could have gone. the ZII sure is a tricky car to get used to considering that just to make a smooth exit I had to take all the hairpins a gear above what it normally should be taken. Also I was wondering whether or not there's gonna be another tournament. And final question where do you get the Clio is it a prize car or is it at the Renault dealer

The Clio V6 can be bought at a dealer and fully modified, if I remember correctly.

Another mid-engined car that could prove tricky...though not as tricky as a fully modified MR-2.

Also I was wondering whether or not there's gonna be another tournament.

:scared:

Dunno if I will have time to run another one, but havent totally ruled it out. Instead of a fully fledged tournament, maybe weekly races are a better idea??

Certainly if Mike doesn't have the time/energy to put another on, I could do something. (I have organized several dozen GT2 race series) Of course, if Mike does want to run something, I'll be back.

This car is very tricky to get used to in my opinion it's fast but understeers alot for a MR car I think I went as fast as I can go so i'm submitting my time
