That's ok.

I'm not able to finish the series, plus I'm not competitive enough. I'll have to drop out. Sorry.

I want to. But I might as well ask the question here than PMing Mike.

I have a RX-7 Convertable that has under 300hp. It max's out higher. I'm wondering If I can use it.

Just buy the Cusco Impreza, or Amiya(sp?) RX7 from the dealer. Those are the two cars from this round, and they will be much quicker then the RX7 convertible you have.

I dont' even know how a 1:08 is possible at all o_O
can I see some sector times? i'd really like to have a shot at it. heh, anyone can do anything in GT2 if you do enough laps :P

18.584
20.073
14.357
15.824

1:08.838 @159.97mph

That is of course for Grindy.

Fastest sectors seen during the week.

18.575
20.073
14.207
15.407

As you can see, I pretty much nailed the first half of the track, and then let off a little in the last bit to ensure the lap was made.

Settings used were the essentially the same as for those posted from the last race. Of course gearbox was different and max downforce.

Sure, just buy one of the cars for this race (Race 5) and PM your times and sector times to Mike by the deadline.

Sorry for the delay Darin, in a twist of strangeness your PM only reached me two days after you sent it . Sure you are most welcome to join. Unfortunately more then half the series has past, but it will be great to have another racer to compare times with.

This round is Round 5, explained in post #1. Pick the Cusco or Amemiya and put in your fastest time at Laguna. Times need to be in by Saturday the 5th June

Sure you are most welcome to join, as I said, the more people to compare times to, the better 👍

Looks like I messed up a bit with the date of time submission. In the first post I said 5 June when I actually meant 31 May :grumpy:

I dont want to rush people, so the times for this round will remain due on 5 June. Sorry for the extended round. *grumbles*

Yea. I just dont have time to do more. Better yet is that I rely on existing settings on cars I use from my garage. 5 laps on existing settings. 5 laps on tweaked settings.

That method helped me suck in the Miata round :embarrassed:

Wow...I usually do about 50-75 laps...and I still lose by ~6 seconds...I guess part of it is that I got the game two weeks before this thingy stated

What do you need from Pupik's site?

Don't feel bad 300, I've been competing in OLR since the game came out .

I will do it as soon as I can. I'll run the RE- Amemiya JGTC RX-7 @ Laguna right now. Where do we post the time, PM it to you?

For someone who only got the game two week before this started, those times are 'ruddy good! Seriously. I have been playing for over two years. I wouldnt worry. The more you play, the faster you will become....and next series you'll even beat Fogel ;)

mike, what were my sector times at grindelwald?

Unfortunately I deleted them to keep the mailbox ship shape. Check you "sent items". It should be there. Based on my memory - remembering my comments after the race about sectors- they were somewhere around:

17.4
21.4
14.9
16.4

well, i've had a nother look, and whatever you've done to set up your cars, it's better than what i can manage. I can't beat (and by that i don't mean just I can't, i mean categorically cannont be beaten) any one of fogul's sector times, except for wallriding the first sector.

Well, my third child, Nolan was born on Friday at 1:26pm @8lbs 6.5oz.

I managed to get a good lap in anyway, and have submitted it. The sector 2 is note worthy, perhaps more then the other sectors.

Mike, I don't think I made note in my submission, but I ran the Cusco.

Congratulation on the little bundle o' joy  👍

Everybody but oxigen has already submitted a time, so I will post Round 5 up on Monday 5 June.

For those who want to keep busy.......Final, Round 1 is up. I will confirm the date for submission soon.

Incidentally, the points taken to the final round will be total/3. No points will be awarded to entrants who joined after round 3. It is unfair to the starting entrants. Times will still be posted however, for those late entrants wishing to compare times.

Edit: Fogel, ignore PM ;)
